Freshman Week
Take five nights in one week, add a
few events from SGA, place a slave
auction and a dating game in the mid-
dle, and th—row in an entire class of
freshmen what do you get?
Campbellsville University's annual
Freshman Week!
This year's week-long extravagan-
za began on Tuesday with the Fresh-
man Auction. In this event, freshmen
are sold to upperclassmen In order to
raise money for school organizations.
The highest selling student this year
was Ken Pruitt from Louisville, Ky.
A new addition to the week of
festivities was Game Show Night on
Wednesday, which featured games of
Family Feud and the Newly Wed
Game. Winners were not only treat-
ed to the applause of their peers for
winning their matches, but also treat-
ed to donated gift certificates from
several local restaurants.
On Thursday, another contest, Sin-
gled Out, took place in the courtyard
as students of Campbellsville
"strutted their stuff* in order to win
a dinner date with either freshman
Amy Graham or Jeremy Fredricks.
The contestants had to do several
activities to win including reciting a
poem, dancing and massaging
Fredricks' feet.
Friday concluded the week with a
campus-wide game of Hide and Seek,
proving that just because we're in
college, it doesn't mean we can't play
kids' games.
