Overview of the three levels of Manifesting Abundance

Welcome to our Manifesting Abundance workbook! Before we get started, we want to
explain the rationale behind our three-part program: Managing Money, Thinking
Prosperity and Living in Abundance.

One of the most meaningful, practical and all encompassing ways to change and grow is to
enhance our relationship with money, prosperity and abundance. In today’s world, money
influences our thoughts, feelings, behaviour and actions throughout every day. And as we grow
in consciousness, we grow in abundance.

Our lives are evolutionary journeys through consciousness. As we integrate new experiences and
broaden our perceptions of life, we become more authentic and magnetic.

A balloon offers a good metaphor for real growth. Blow up a balloon part way and deflate it.
Notice that its original shape has changed. Only if you inflate it again to a greater size and
deflate it will it change shape again. So it is with us. It’s only when we expand, move through our
comfort zone, or add a new level or dimension that we truly change our experience of who we
are.

Moving into a life of abundance requires increased sensitivity, learning and perceptive
awareness. We grow through a series of awakenings that lead us to become more inclusive,
impersonal, universal, unlimited, purposeful, responsible and authentic. As we grow in
consciousness, we let go of tendencies to be self centered, manipulative, reactive, fixed and
linear. We find ourselves increasingly aware, aspiring to a bigger picture, and being other
conscious.

So this program is about cleaning house of habits that do not serve us, to create a solid
foundation upon which we can expand. Building a healthy relationship with money and
abundance gives us a powerful platform to explore the bigger picture of life purpose, meaning,
fulfillment and service.

To become more prosperous, we need to change on at least two levels:

1. We must ensure that our financial affairs are in order. We need an income that
at least covers our expenses. And we need to deal with our money consciously and
daily so we achieve some stability in our day-to-day experience. This means having a
foundation of good financial habits, tools and skills.

2. We must become aware of the beliefs we hold around money and prosperity.
We need to overcome self sabotaging habits, addictions and fears. If our unconscious
belief system rejects prosperity, then no matter what we do, we will unconsciously
sabotage our efforts to improve our finances. Bad habits, addictions and fears will
forever keep us poor. It’s essential that we hold beliefs that will naturally attract
greater wealth to us.

And if we are so inclined, it’s helpful to consider yet another level:

3. Understanding the spiritual principles that govern our experience of
abundance helps us align with and benefit from natural laws. Once we know these
principles, we can work effectively with them to more naturally live in the abundance
that comes with freedom, joy, love and power.

People who are drawn to Higher Awareness are connecting with a higher purpose in
their lives, whether they are conscious of it or not. Those of us who seek greater
meaning, purpose and joy often experience deep conflicts when it comes to money.
We are drawn to the spiritual—and that is often understood to mean ‘away from the
material.’ Spiritual and material are often perceived as opposites.

We believe our spiritual challenge is to integrate the material and the spiritual, the
form and the formless—not to abandon one for the other. We are spiritual beings who
live in a physical body in a physical world. We need money to survive. How
successful can we be in our lives if we are unable to adequately provide for ourselves?
We’re not likely to fulfill our life missions if we can’t pay our bills!

Part 1 on Managing Money will help you build a strong foundation of skills and
habits that will support true wealth. We’ll look at pragmatic techniques to achieve
financial stability and self-sufficiency.

As you become responsible in the way you handle money, you can move on to more
deeply address your beliefs, thoughts and feelings about money. This is covered in
Part 2 – Thinking Prosperity.

And then, you can choose to work with spiritual principles. These are outlined in Part
3 – Living in Abundance.

The table on the following page shows how our consciousness shifts with an
understanding and application of each of these three levels of prosperity. Reading
across the table, identify where you are predominantly working at this time.

Okay. Let’s get started. To begin, do you have a journal? If not, we recommend that
you get a 3 ring binder or a scribbler, or set up a computer file to hold your working
notes as you explore how to manage your finances and attract abundance.

Even if you already have a journal, you might want to create a book that deals
specifically with manifesting abundance so that all of your notes will be in one place.
It’s also great to have a written record of how both your consciousness and your
bottom line (your self worth and your net worth) shift.

Be aware that writing things down can quadruple your results!

If you are going to spend precious time addressing your basic issues around money
and abundance, you need to be really clear about what you want to get from the
process. There are three reasons for this:

1. The more clear and specific we can be about what we are aiming for, the more
likely it is that we will achieve it. We’ll know when we get there!
2. The power of intention sharpens our attention so we are more likely to notice
those people, events and things in our lives that can help us meet our goals.
3. The more you understand your motivation for managing money and finding
prosperity and abundance, the more committed you will be to build new habits
that support you.

When you get to the very deepest reasons for what brought you here, you will tap into
powerful motivating forces that will support your success. This experience will have
more meaning for you and you’ll realize greater results.

So look inside yourself right now to assess your commitment. Are you willing to
spend time and energy learning new perspectives and habits? If you answer “yes,”
then book time in your calendar now for the exercises that are coming. Allow at least
15 minutes each day or block a larger amount of time once or twice each week.

Don’t waste your time if you don’t have the commitment to follow through. Setting an
intention and then not honouring it creates a serious ongoing energy drain, and none
of us needs that. It is not good enough to just know information—it must be put into
action, made part of our experience.

Part 1 – Managing Money

1.1 Money and consciousness

"If money be not thy servant, it will be thy master." – Francis Bacon

We applaud you for being willing to face your money challenges!

For the truth is: if we want to live a good, productive life on Planet Earth in the 21st
century, we need money. There’s no way around it. In one form or another, money
pervades almost every aspect of our lives. But many of us—rich, poor and in-
between—consider the issue of money a burden. Our finances rule us, rather than the
other way around.

Despite the importance of money in our lives, many of us avoid dealing with our
financial situation head-on. Because it scares and intimidates us, we push money
management out of our consciousness as much as possible. Unfortunately, if we lack
consciousness around money, we also tend to be unconscious in other aspects of our
lives:

- We tend to be stuck in survival; we waste a lot of time and energy just coping and
we never get ahead.
- Because we haven’t taken control, our lives are typically chaotic, and we often
have recurring challenges around not only money but also relationships, health,
career, addictions, etc.
- We can be easily influenced by mass consciousness and society’s desires and
illusions. We are typically ignorant of our deepest needs.
- We usually feel victimized by outer circumstances.
- Because we haven’t taken control of our lives, our past determines our future.
Without clear goals, we react to whatever life brings us and our responses reflect
our unresolved subconscious issues, wounds and fears. Our actions have no
higher purpose.

Simply put, by refusing to accept financial responsibility, we forfeit our chances for a
better life. We pretty much guarantee that either the things we desire will always be
out of reach or that we will satisfy our desires only with some major sacrifices in
other areas of our lives.

We can muddle along without any particular financial strategy. But lack of financial
stability takes a huge toll on our freedom and happiness and on the quality of our
lives. Our finances worry and stress us, erode our health and joy, and drain the energy
that could be applied much more constructively to other avenues in life.

The good news is that life can be better. Much better! For when we understand and
resolve our relationship with money, we will not only solve our financial worries, we
will also understand more about ourselves and about life in general. Our lives become
rich—in a multitude of different ways.

In this first section, we are going to give proper attention to money. We are going to
look at the basics, the fundamentals of managing money. This section is written for
those of us who consistently don’t have enough—or fear we won’t have enough—to
live our lives the way we want. It is for those of us who have no concrete plan to get
out of debt or to stop being broke or to build a nest egg.

Commit to this portion of the program and you will:

- clearly understand your financial situation,
- have more control over it,
- be able to measure your progress in building a more solid financial foundation,
and,
- get some ideas about what you can do to bring greater financial health.

1.2 Explore your relationship with money

"Money is a highly charged subject. And most of the emotions people feel
around it are negative: fear, shame, embarrassment, anger." – Jerrold

Our relationship to money affects our relationship to anything and everyone. And if,
as Mundis says, most of us experience negativity around money, what impact does
this have on our lives? Let’s change this picture!

Our first step in bringing about change must be to clearly understand where we are
right now. We must open our eyes, perhaps for the very first time, to the reality of our
financial situation. We must take charge and work with the reality of how much we
earn and spend.

Scary? Well, only at first! As with all experiences of fear, you will find that by
standing tall and facing your fears, you will conquer them. You will find yourself
empowered as you begin to see the facts of your situation. Knowing the facts, you’ll
know what needs to be done.
