Preface
Incontinuationtooureffortstoupdatethemagneticsusceptibilitydataofparamag-
neticcompounds,anewvolumeispresentedherewithcoveringliteraturefrom2001
to2010.Sincemostoftheresearchesthesedaysconsulttheliteratureonline,anew
patternhasbeenintroduced.Allthemagneticpropertiesofeachindividualsubstance
are listed as a single document which is self-explainable and allowing search in
respectofsubstancename,synonyms,commonvocabulary,andevenstructure.Itis
hoped that thenew pattern will facilitate greater accessibility of magnetic data and
enhancetheuseofLandolt-Börnstein.
InthisVolume,theIntroductionChapterhasbeenthoroughlyupdatedandrecent
trends in molecular magnetic materials with special reference to molecular nano-
magnetsand multifunctional magnetic materials as well astheir theoreticalaspects
aresummarized.
