SUMMARY OF THE REASONS FOR DECISION:

The book presents photographs of naked children and young persons posing in a
manner which is frequently sexually suggestive. In the text, the author aims the book
at an adult audience and attempts to justify this portrayal. The dissertation is a
convoluted piece of philosophical writing, in which the author exonerates the theme of
his photographs. The content of the book is considered to tend to promote the
exploitation of children or young persons for sexual purposes. Due to this
consideration, under s3(2)(a) of the Act the publication is deemed to be objectionable.
