Act I: Prince of the Sun, Princess of the Moon
Chapter 1
A magnificent carriage drawn by four white horses, passed through the gates and entered "Grain
Hold" of the royal castle of the Skard Kingdom. The carriage proceeded to the courtyard, its front
and back, closely protected by four knights. A total of eight knights rode alongside, each equipped in
ceremonial armour and adorned with matching swords and shields. Their jade chest plates were
embellished with a dual emblem, displaying the design of a dragon and a flame. Humans of the
Principality of Moss recognised the coat of arms as "Dragon Flame" belonging to the Kingdom of
Harkane. The dragon on the coat of arms indicated that the visitors in the carriage were in
compliance with the "Dragon's Covenant" while the flame signified the royal family of the Harkane
Kingdom. Under regular circumstances, the knights would be wearing armour marked with the crest
of the Royal Family. However the fact that they displayed the dual emblem meant that this carriage
party was a legitimate envoy under the "Dragon Pact". A courier had arrived from Venon, two days
earlier. Venon, also known as "Dragon’s Scale" was a neighbouring country to the north that was
also an ally of the Kingdom of Skard. The courier reported that an envoy on a mission from the
Kingdom of Harkane was heading for the Kingdom of Skard. Originally, the envoy from Harkane,
acted as a preliminary scout but after confirming the intention of his country, he had become the
regular envoy. A knight of Venon that had previously served as an envoy to Skard, also accompanied
the carriage as it entered the small kingdom. Sending a delegation without waiting for an answer
was a completely unprecedented event. The knights of Skard began to turn a pale colour, wondering
what kind of emergency would force the visiting carriage to make such a trip. But even if it was an
emergency, a messenger cannot be sent at such a time, as Skard, despite being a small country had
also joined the "Dragon’s Pact". Harkane only recognised small countries in the area as "Venon
territory with strong autonomy" such as Skard. Skard did not know the purpose of the visit, but they
couldn’t afford to be disrespectful to the messenger of the great and powerful Harkane. The court of
Skard was busy preparing for the welcome, and for the previous two days they had been extremely
busy.
The carriage arrived at the centre of the courtyard and stopped abruptly. The escorting knights
dismounted their horses and thanked the three humans standing at the entrance of the royal castle.
All three figures wore crowns on their heads. The King of Skard Bruuk, greeted the carriage with his
son Prince Nasier and his daughter Princess Lena. Bruuk counted forty years since he was born. He
was a tall man with not an ounce of fat on his body, he carried a sage like aura but there were also
only a few people who could beat him as a warrior, even though they were widespread in Moss.
Prince Nasier was still young in his face but despite this he was already taller than his father. His
well-groomed, blonde hair had grown long and was tied up with a red metal ring to keep it out of the
way. His lustrous hair and beautiful face gave him a feminine appearance. Princess Lena, unlike her
brother, had black hair and dark eyes, which highlighted her porcelain like skin. She was praised for
her beautiful doll like appearance. Her dark eyes were open wide as she stared at the intriguing
carriage. The knights of Harkane opened the carriage door and bowed deeply to the Skard royal
family who also bowed their heads. Accompanied by a maid, a woman who seemed to be of noble
birth stepped out from the carriage. She was dressed in a light pink garment and wore a short crown
on her forehead.
"Princess Elanta." Bruuk called out to his son, on his left.
"It is the third princess...wasn’t it?" Nasier replied.
"Why has the Princess of Harkane come to this country?" Lena asked, pulling at her brother's sleeve.
"I do not know." Nasier’s answer wasn’t convincing.
"Brother, you are a terrible liar!" Lena inflated her cheeks and looked up at her brother with a scowl.
Skard was not a fruitful country that is visited by the princesses of powerful nations. Even Lena, who
was ignorant of politics understood this.
The country of Skard specialised in brewing high-quality beer, which they traded with the Dwarves in
exchange for weapons, armour, crafts, etc. Although Skard was a small country, because it could
monopolise trade with the Dwarves, its economic condition was rich. Venon, an allied nation,
requests for money donations, even they must be aware of the abundance of treasures still stored in
the national treasury. However this was not the reason that the knights escorting princess Elanta
were advancing.
"I’d heard that an envoy was visiting, but I didn’t think the princess herself was coming..." Bruuk
greeted the princess and tried to take her hand.
"For fellowship with Skard." Elanta replied with a smile, but refused to take King Bruuk’s hand. Her
eyes were fixed on Nasier, who stood next to his sister Lena.
"This is Prince Nasier." Bruuk proudly introduced his son Nasier, who then proceeded to approach
Princess Elanta and kiss her right hand.
Elanta's cheeks flushed red as a rose.
"Thank you for your hard work. Please rest in your room until the preparation for the welcome
celebration are completed." Nasier took the princess's hand and tried to escort her into the castle.
"I'm not tired. It's a rare opportunity for you to show me around the castle, until the party begins. I
just want you to come."
On the contrary, the princess took Nasier's hand and attempted to walk in a completely different
direction. Nasier looked confused due to the excessive force.
"I am the one who guides important guests!" Lena, shouted involuntarily when she saw her brother's
confusion.
In response to her voice, Princess Elanta slowly looked back at Lena. "I am grateful for your kindness,
but I would like to ask Prince Nasier to guide me."
The wording was polite, but her eyes was cold. She looked at Lena as if she were a maid, not a
princess. Lena felt like she had been looked down on. Her face turned bright red due to intense
shame. Elanta's laughter echoed softly as she began to walk towards the herb table in the backyard,
still pulling Nasier by the hand. The knights of Harkane started to follow, but Elanta waved harshly
and signalled for them to leave them be.
"Prince Nasier is famous for his sword skill throughout the Principality. No escorts are needed!"
The knights looked at each other confused but eventually, they withdrew silently. Their facial
expressions as if they were rejected, revealed their inner feelings. The words of the princess were an
insult for those who had a sword. Elanta and Nasier left with their arms entwined and Lena’s eyes
watching their backs. Behind her eyes, emotions that Lena didn't even notice were burning an
intense fire.
There is an island named Lodoss. It is a remote island to the south of the continent of Alecrast. Some
inhabitants of the continent call it a cursed island. A fierce war continues to ravage in many places
across the enchanted island. The south western part of Lodoss Island was a mountainous area with a
series of steep slopes. However, the people that made the region there home were prospering. The
name of the kingdom was Moss. However, there was no king to rule the region. After the fall of the
ancient kingdom of Kastuul, which flourished as a magical civilization, a number of small countries in
the region banded together. A unified kingdom was born because the land was easy to protect and
difficult to attack. After a unification progressed in neighbouring regions a mighty kingdom was born.
Eventually, its military power became more suitable for mountainous areas, and small countries in
the area had to form an alliance for defence. The signing of this alliance was called the "Dragon
Pact." Since ancient times, many dragons, the strongest of the phantom beasts and demons, had
inhabited this mountainous area. By comparing themselves to the Dragon’s body, they attempted to
unite as one country named Moss. The Moss countries that signed the pact would be named after
the dragons, and vowed to unite and fight against threat of invasion from neighbouring countries.
This vow was kept and Moss repelled the invasion of foreign enemies. However, despite this, civil
war had never ceased in the region. A struggle without expansion of the countries power. If the
power of any one kingdom expanded too much, the other countries would unite, therefore, the
situations of the crowded small countries had not changed even now. Eventually, the rulers of each
country came to call themselves kings, and named the region the United Kingdom of Moss. However
the name was no longer suitable. Therefore, it was replaced by the name Moss Principality.
Originally, the Principality was a name for a smaller country than the kingdom but they dared to use
it in reverse. Other nations could see the weaknesses of the allied nation of Moss and the strength of
the independence of the nations. However, if there was an invasion from another country, the
“Dragon Pact” would always be activated. Even if the only soldiers able to be sent had just started
wielding a sword, no matter what, if the pact was activated, the shields would be lined up. Seen
from other countries, it was a unity that strangely only occurred in the Moss region. At the southern
end of the Principality of Moss, there was a small country called Skard. The population was about
ten thousand. There were less than a hundred knights to protect the kingdom. By joining the Dragon
Pact, Skard was under the protection of the great power "Dragon Scales, Venon", which was an
allied neighbouring nation to the north.
The name of the king of Skard was Bruuk, who had two children. The elder son Nasier, who was born
to the queen, and his sister born to a concubine, Princess Lena. The blonde-haired brother and the
black-haired sister were not similar in appearance, but the beauty of the brother and sister were the
pride of the people of Skard. The people of Skard praised them by calling them "Prince of the Sun,
Princess of the Moon." The compliment was passed on to the court and knights were also using the
titles. Nasier, the prince of the sun, was fifteen years old, and Lena, the princess of the moon, was
thirteen years old. From the time they were innocent children, they had to break up. The feast to
welcome the visitors of the Kingdom of Harkane began in the evening. A banquet was prepared with
great meals lined up and a barrel of alcohol banned from export to the Dwarves was brought in. The
hall was filled with lively music and entertainers performed silent plays and acts of magic. The
knights and ladies enjoyed eating and drinking, chatting, and dancing. Men and women also begun
gently pulling out of the party to find a more suitable place to continue their night in private. The
brilliant air filled the hall of the feast. However, Lena felt the air during such a feast was suffocating.
With a glass of wine in one hand, she leant her back on the stone wall. The cold feeling was
transmitted through her pure white dress, but she hardly noticed it. Lena’s gaze remained on a pair
of men and women the entire time. Princess Elanta and her brother Nasier danced in the centre of
the hall. Elanta seems to be enjoying herself from the bottom of her heart. However, Nasier didn't
smile, while the princess respond politely to requests. Watching Elanta use her brother as her
personal waiter, Lena felt intense resentment internally. However, she couldn’t express it. If Lena
was rude to the princess, it would insult the Kingdom of Harkane, and in the worst case, could ignite
a war. In that scenario, the Kingdom of Venon would take over, but even if a war was on the cards, it
would require a huge amount of battle expenses. Lena felt like she didn’t have to put up with this
treatment and she felt her brother would also feel the same as her. However, as far as she could tell
by Nasier's expression, he didn’t seem to share her feelings. Rather, it seemed that he was happy to
be the partner of the princess of the great powerful Harkane. Princess Elanta was fourteen years old,
one year younger than Nasier. She was full of elegance and had a beautiful appearance like a
princess of a great power should be. Her chest and hips were rich for her age. There would be plenty
of men in Harkane who lusted after her. Perhaps Lena’s brother's attitude was not false and he was
really fascinated by the princess.
The song had changed three times, but Nasier and Elanta continued to dance. The princess's was an
ungraceful dancer, but she looked like a natural with Nasier's skilful guidance.
"When will I be able to dance with my brother...?" The bored, Lena sighed.
"Princess Lena, if it is your wish to dance, for one song, I will be your partner?" A knight of Harkane
approached and invited Lena to dance.
Lena stared at the knight's face. He was around twenty years old and had already been appointed as
a princess escort at this young age, meaning he was one of the most prestigious knights in the
kingdom. He had a slender physique and a soft demeanour. Behind his thin beard he wore a
confident smile. It seemed that he is used to treating women. What he was thinking beyond that
sincere look, could easily be imagined. Cyrus, the knight captain of Skard, was a similar person. The
knight captain, that had been feasting, left before Lena realised, a countess appeared to follow him.
"I will refrain." Lena turned away.
The confident knight's smile froze in response to an unexpected reaction. The knights of Skard who
were nearby laughed. Shivering in humiliation, the knight of Harkane returned defeated.
"My princess always dances with Prince Nasier first. Before she dances with the prince, she will
never dance with other men." With a mug of ale in one hand and a beer in the other, a Skard knight
walked up and handed the beer to the embarrassed knight.
"It seems as though His Highness Nasier also has a tough younger sister." Ironically, the knight of
Harkane responded.
"Don't say that. The biggest tragedy for Princess Lena is that Nasier was her brother. No man will
ever be greater than him in her eyes. The princess of your country is also crazy about him."
The knight of Harkane snorted, seemingly uninteresting.
"If you were born a prince of a small country, no matter how good you were, you would just be
buried as royalty of some small country."
"That's right." The knight of Skard replied. He didn't feel insulted because his words were true.
"But Skard is a peaceful kingdom. The prince supports that peace and descendants of the prince’s
bloodline can live in that peace."
"For your prince’s sake, I sincerely rejoice that he can be free from the struggle. However, the knight
has great power, the Lord, does not know his value." With an unsettling look, the knight of Harkane
left for the table where the meals were lined up, just as the song came to a close.
Men and women who tired of dancing moved away from the centre of the hall in search of drinks,
while others try to join and replace the dance line. Princess Elanta and Prince Nasier also
approached Lena. Princess Elanta was sweating profusely while taking deep breaths. However,
Nasier was his true self, just as usual. Lena’s brother was training his body through swordsmanship,
equestrianism, swimming, and conditioning etc. He could dance all night until the musicians ran out
of tunes. Finally, Lena could dance with her brother. While pinching the hem of the dress, Lena
hurried to her brother.
"Please dance with me brother." She said with momentum. Nasier's right hand was on Elanta's back.
Lena, grabbed his free left hand and tried to take it forcibly.
"Nasier is tired. If you’re after a partner, please look for another." Elanta told Lena.
"My brother isn't tired!" Lena screamed in her heart, but of course she couldn’t speak out. Lena
stared at Nasier.
"It is as the princess says." Nasier whispered and attempted to tell her something with a wink. Not
knowing the meaning, Lena fluttered her eyes while standing still.
"Father is angry." Nasier said subtly, speaking in Lena's ear.
Lena quickly looked back at her father Bruuk, who was glaring at her with a harsh expression.
"Also, that expression..." Lena was deeply saddened. It was the expression her father showed when
he drank poorly brewed beer or when he would scold Lena. It was a facial expression he had never
once shown to her brother Nasier.
"If you're looking for a dance partner, I'll let my knights serve you." Elanta's triumphant laugh struck
Lena. It was a wicked laugh that she couldn’t supress, she seemed to be enjoying manipulating
Lena’s brother. As she laughed, Lena felt like she was saying: "Prince Nasier is mine!"
With a mixture of both anger and shame, the colour of Lena’s face passes through various shades of
red before turning blue.
"Princess Lena..." One of the Skard knights who saw Lena’s complexion approached her with an
anxious look.
"I'm not feeling well. Please excuse me." Lena felt that she would suffocate if she was in the middle
of the party any longer.
She dashed to the entrance of the hall to leave the feast. Turning around, she saw her brother Nasier
talking with Princess Elanta. It seemed that he was no longer aware of Lena and her father had an
outright relieved expression on his face, he was busy talking to a knight of Harkane.
"No one needs me…" Lena thought, with a deep feeling of despair.
Lena took a short run down the corridor to the courtyard, heading for the stables. Illuminated by the
moonlight, the night sky was brighter than she expected.
"If no one needs me, I can't stay in this castle." Such thoughts dominated Lena's heart.
When Lena arrived at the stable, she stood in front of her brother’s beloved brown horse and placed
a saddle on its back. Lena straddled the horse and rode slowly out of the stable and through the
courtyard of the royal castle. She placed a harness around the horse's neck and headed toward the
back gate. As Lena passed the gate she kicked the horse's belly and even put a whip to its rear, the
horse began to run like the wind. Lena heard a howl from somewhere relatively close by. It only took
a few minutes for the guard of the castle gate, to burst into the hall, interrupting the feast and
rushing to King Bruuk to report what he had heard. Bruuk's eyebrows were struck with surprise, and
his mouth moved as he said something.
"How would you like us to proceed?" The guard asked.
Bruuk looked around during the feast and shook his head in a melancholy manner. "Leave her
alone." Bruuk turned away from the guards. "Her mother was also a selfish woman."
Chapter 2
The dark forest was filled with a peaceful silence. The light of the full moon shining at its zenith was
blocked by the treetops and only a few beams reach the ground.
"Carefully Malachi. If you don't proceed cautiously, you're likely to trip over the roots of the tree."
Loneliness and emptiness filled Lena’s heart as tears ran from her eyes from the feelings of indignity.
She thought she had done something wrong and she couldn't stand the disdainful attitude of
Princess Elanta. Stealing her brother and trying to monopolise him. Her brother just showed a smile
to such a princess. At that time, the night breeze blew through the trees and Lena’s black hair was
swept back by the wind and gently stroked her cheeks. She released the bridle and pulled her hair
up.
"Why am I different from my brother? My brother's hair is shining like gold, while my hair is dark as
raven feathers. My brother's eyes are the colour of the clear spring water, but my hair is the colour
of water that stagnates at the bottom of the well."
Lena hated the mother who gave birth to her, she had always burned with jealousy toward Nasier's
mother, the Queen. The princess was tolerated by the queen who loved Lena as if she were her real
child. There were even rumours that her mother was poisoned when the queen died. If the herbalist
Tatus did not deny the rumour, her mother might have been punished. That would have proved a
better fate. The behaviour of her mother after that was unbearable, even from the eyes of her
daughter. She bought expensive items and dressed up to hide the humbleness of her birth. She
bullied the Queen’s maid thoroughly, one of them even threw herself out of a window of the royal
castle. When her mother died of a pandemic, Lena was relieved rather than saddened. Lena hated
her mother so much, she hated everything that she inherited from her mother, her hair, her eyes
and her face. Lena knew what the knights called the royal siblings, the Prince of the Sun and the
Princess of the Moon. Their father Bruuk, also seemed be fond of the names, but the knights were
more self-sufficient than her and her brother Nasier. They looked down on her and thought that she
was a daughter born to an unfaithful, lowly mother. The moon does not shine until nightfall. Under
the light of the sun, the light of the moon is swallowed and the opposite is also true. Lena wished
her father was different too. That way, she could be with her brother. Her father Bruuk, said that he
wished for his daughter to marry the prince of the Kingdom of Venon, Dragon Scale. This was to
deepen the ties with the main country, Venon. Until now, Lena’s brother had always been with her.
However, it seemed that such a day would never come again. The princess of a great nation would
soon be married to her brother. It may even be Princess Elanta.
"Brother…" Tears spilled down her face. She felt that the most important thing had flowed down
from her heart with tears.
It was then that the howling of a wolf echoed, not too far away. Startled by the beast's cry, the horse
carrying Lena began to rampage. Lena manipulated the bridle and attempted to calm the horse, but
she couldn't. Lena was thrown off the horse as the horse raised its front legs. Lena fell to the ground,
on the trunk of a tree and hit her back harshly. The fabric of her dress made a tearing sound. Lena
tried to move but she was winded by the sudden pain. The horse ran away toward the highway. The
pain gradually subsided but Lena’s energy to move was completely lost.
"No one is by my side. Is this how I die?" The princess thought to herself. "Even if I'm gone, no one
will be sad..." Lena looked up at the night sky, mournfully. The moon disappeared behind thick
clouds and Lena was enveloped in darkness.
The feast still continued late into the night. However, King Bruuk had already left and many of the
senior knights were on their way back to the mansion. Only relatively young knights and ladies
remaining at the feast, attempting to find love for one night. Nasier and Princess Elanta had stepped
out of the party and were on the balcony, drinking and dancing. The night air cooled their bodies
that were lit by the fire. Nasier suggested several times that they should take a break, but the
princess said nothing at all.
"My profitable person." Nasier was sick of Elanta’s company but she was an important state guest
and he mustn’t be rude at all.
His father had also reminded him of that fact. Over the night, Nasier had realised that the purpose of
Princess Elanta's visit seemed to be by her own accord. The princess didn't carry a letter and she
didn't seem to want to meet Nasier’s father. There was an envoy to the Kingdom of Venon, who on
the way back to Harkane, south of the city of Masket who had stopped by Skard and was interested
in hearing some rumours. For the knights of the escort, it would have been a mundane visit.
However, for him, it would have been a fascinating invitation to be able to drink beer from Skard. In
any case, he couldn’t afford to take a detour for so long. Elanta and her group would be on their way
back to Harkane in a few days. Until then, Nasier had no choice but to deal with this princess. Nasier
knew that it was earlier then he was hoping for it. Just then, the night breeze blew.
"My body is getting cold. Let's go inside."
"That's right." The princess replied with a fascinating face.
"It was a wonderful day. Prince Nasier was as rumoured, perhaps even more than rumoured. Forgive
me then, if I say I want to marry the prince of Skard..."
“I'm afraid.” As Nasier began to reply, the princess stretched over and spoke into Nasier's ear.
"Why don't you come to my room?" Elanta asked shamelessly.
Nasier stared at the princess's face, at a loss for words. What kind of lessons could the future King of
Skard teach this princess? He thought he had grown up. His sister Lena was also profitable, but not
as much as the princess of this great power. Nasier was wondering how to reply. He had mastered all
the court rituals, but he hadn't been taught how to respond to an offer like this. It was when Nasier
was about to open his mouth, trying to refuse obediently that he saw a horse running through the
courtyard from the back gate of the castle. It was a rider less horse. The gatekeeper was standing in
front of it, trying to catch the reins of the spooked horse.
"What happened?" Pushing Princess Elanta aside, Nasier leaned out of the balcony.
"I'll listen to you." The princess said in a dissatisfied voice.
"My horse..." Nasier felt sick.
He remembered that Lena had disappeared during the feast. He thought that she had returned to
her room, but maybe...
"Princess Elanta, I'm sorry!" Nasier ran down the stairs on the balcony with a horrific feeling in his
stomach. Nasier sincerely hoped that his premonition would not come true.
Two green lights were swaying in the blackness as they approached. With her back on the trunk of
the tree, Lena stared at the lights as if she was mesmerised. From the other side of the darkness, a
shadow was approaching. At that time, the moon that was still hidden in the clouds appeared and
cast a silver light over the forest. Illuminated by the moonlight, the figure of a wolf emerged from
the gloom. It was probably a lone wolf, rejected by its pack. It seemed to be hungry judging by the
drool dangling from its jaws as it displayed its sharp fangs. With a slow step, the wold began to close
the distance with Lena. Her throat felt like it had been choked and she couldn't make a voice. Lena’s
entire body quivered as she dripped with cold sweat. Her brain seemed to have burned out due of
the fear, and she didn't even feel like running away. Lena had accepted that she would be killed. She
imagined her abdomen bitten by the wolf’s sharp fangs and her internal organs being eaten, while
they were still warm.
"I wonder what it feels like being eaten alive..." Lena opened her mouth to cry for help but when she
did she fund she couldn't even speak out. However, that may have been a blessing.
If she screamed, the wolf would surely attack. The wolf approached five steps, but did not try to
reduce the distance any further. It paced the same area as if it was giving her a chance to escape.
The wolf is a wise animal. It knows that humans are formidable opponents. Lena knew that it would
hurt her. Reminding herself that humans were not suitable for prey, Lena wanted to take off from
the wolf and run away with all her might. The wolf retreated about half a step backwards and begun
pacing from left to right again. Lena felt like she was going crazy. Eventually she wouldn't be able to
stand it and her voice would return. However the wolf showed no sign of leaving. Perhaps it was
very hungry, it had a bloodthirsty look in its eyes.
"No more..."
Lena’s energy to take off and run was lost. She could feel her consciousness slipping away. How easy
it would be if she fainted like this and was killed while she was unconscious, that would be fine. Lena
thought so, but she couldn't let it happen. Subconsciously, Lena started screaming. Once the high
pitched voice was emitted, she couldn't stop it anymore. The wolf howled to match Lena's screams.
The wolf's posture sunk deeply. Then it leapt at her. Its fangs were fast approaching. It was at that
moment that a white shape appeared in front of Lena, blocking her view of the wolf.
"Run away!" A voice in a scolding tone cried.
"Nasier brother!" The voice was definitely that of her brother Nasier. He had come to help Lena who
was surrounded by a deep sense of relief. However her limit had come.
Lena’s vision became pitch black in front of her, as she lost consciousness almost like the thread had
broken.
"...Lena!" Came the voice from the other side of the darkness, she heard a voice calling her name.
Someone was shaking the princess’s body. Regaining consciousness, Lena opened her eyes in a
wistful manner. In front of her was the familiar face of her brother Nasier. His hair was dishevelled
and blood dripped from his forehead. The drops made a stain on Lena's dress. Lena reached for her
brother's wound. When Lena looked closely, she could see that her brother was injured all over his
body. Surly it would be painful to stand.
"Are you injured?" There was a cold light in her brother's eyes asking. Lena's hand stopped moving.
Her brother's eyes seemed to resemble the look from her father. The look that seems to be a
mixture of deep anger and contempt.
"Why did you come to help?" Lena went to ask but quickly swallowed her words. "Wouldn't it be nice
to have romantic feelings for Princess Elanta? I don't need them myself anyway, so let me go." Is
what Lena wished she had of said if the wolf hadn’t attacked.
The wolf was left as a cold corpse behind Nasier, her brother didn't even wear a dagger. He defeated
the wolf with his bare hands. The mercenary captain Beld, who served as her brother's sword

was reminded again that she was a different person from my brother. No matter how close the

"Are you injured?" Her brother repeated the question.

step on the road to the royal castle and started returning home.
"Brother?" After wondering for a moment, Lena called out. She thought she would apologise and
tried to tell him that she could walk on her own feet. However, there was no reply from her brother.
"You're angry." Sadness and despair shattered Lena's heart. "My brother won't forgive me for the
rest of my life. He will never me a gentle smile again. I thought it was natural. It's all my
responsibility. My brother would have been hurt and Princess Elanta would have been terribly
offended. How can I make up for it?" Lena asked herself.
Without any regard for his own safety, her brother Nasier had saved her from certain death. The
only way to respond to that was to give her own life in return. If she had to give her life for her
brother, she would be happy to do so. Lena swore this to her heart. Then her brother would forgive
her. He would never forget her for the rest of his life and in her brother's heart, Lena could stay
alive. Only then would her brother be hers again. Six months from that day, Lena's vow would be
fulfilled and the demons would be released unto Lodoss.
