Se trata de una obra juvenil, pero importante no sólo por los datos históricos que ofrece, sino porque revela ya muchos de los trazos fundamentales de su pensamiento teológico y espiritual.</p><p>Su importancia es aún mayor porque recoge también el pensamiento de los capadocios sobre la virginidad y, más en general, sobre la ascética cristiana.</p>
