About the author
This book is not a collection of theory, neither is it just commentary on a topic that is
written from the sidelines of a distant keyboard. Since 1998 I have been a dedicated
and professional executive coach delivering more than 25,000 hours of coaching
sessions around the world; the hours, the travel and the number of clients and new
content continue to extend each day. Professional coaching is what I do.
Although I remain fascinated by all things ‘coaching’, this has never been just a
hobby or topic of interest for me; it has always been about building a successful
business and career that required me to focus on and deliver results with a genuine
passion and drive.
As an executive coach I have worked with CEOs and senior executives from some
of the largest and most successful companies across many industries and sectors,
establishing long-term relationships and a strong reputation based upon impact and
results. This approach has been the catalyst for me to create practical models, tools
and techniques that enable my clients to achieve great results, and for me to research
and adapt for coaching the very best concepts and methods from the world of devel-
opment, performance and business growth.
As with all my clients, I have presented this book as a means of making the
science and psychology of coaching practical and accessible so that their benefits
can be quickly and easily attained. This proven selection of 72 coaching models
