Un mundo plástico doblemente asombroso en la medida en que Oramas, fallecido a los 24 años, apenas contó con un lustro para realizar su obra, madura ya casi, sin embargo, desde sus comienzos. El estatismo, la objetivación del espacio -palmerales, tuneras, casas, pitas, colinas-, el mar alto y erguido como límite, parecen plasmar un himno a la hora presente bajo la luz del mediodía atlántico. 'Todo está aquí -escribe Sánchez Robayna- en un interminable mediodía del ojo'. Estamos ante imágenes primordiales y primitivas, cercanas tanto a la Nueva Objetividad de la pintura europea de la época como a la 'pittura metafisica', imágenes capaces de entregarnos un instante suspendido en el transcurrir del tiempo.
