Jeudis 1er, 8, 15, 22 février et 1er, 8 mars
Dernier opus d'une Trilogie, l’apogée d'une épopée où l’amitié et le
partage atteignent leur paroxysme. La Nuit de la Glisse nous pro-
pulse dans une nouvelle ère, vers de nouvelles disciplines et décrit
la transmission de valeurs entre deux générations de riders, ultime
hommage aux athlètes qui ont marqué leur sport par leurs exploits.

The last opus in a Trilogy, the culmination of an epic tale where
friendship and sharing reach their peak. "La Nuit de la Glisse" takes
us to a new era, introducing us to new disciplines and tracing the
transmission of values between two generations of riders.

LI Géraldine Papinot, qui signe Brylinska, est née en juillet 1966. Elle suit

U une formation dans sa ville natale et fréquente les ateliers d’artiste.
CT Elle aime se confronter aux motifs qu’elle choisit dans les diverses
A vallées des Alpes. Pour trouver son espace, elle séjourne à l’île de Ré où
la lumière de l’Océan dans son immensité lui révèle la profondeur des
lacs des montagnes et le reflet des cimes. Elle expose régulièrement à
Paris et Genève et prépare une prochaine exposition à Londres en 2020.
Géraldine Papinot, who signs herself Brylinska, was born in July 1966. She
trained in her hometown and was a regular visitor to the artists’ studios.
She likes to tackle motifs that she finds in the many different valleys of
the Alps. To get away, she stays on the Île de Ré where the depth of the
mountain lakes and reflections of the Alpine peaks are revealed in the
light of the ocean in all its immensity. She exhibits regularly in Paris and
Geneva and is planning an exhibition in London in 2020.

Gay-Couttet Family
Le fonds photographique de la famille Gay-Couttet est composé d'environ
12 000 photographies prises entre 1880 et 1980 à Chamonix et dans
les Alpes. Parcourez Chamonix entre 1880 et 1980 à travers le regard
d'une dynastie de photographes (Michel, Auguste et Adolphe, Justin et
Roland). Découvrez la montagne et ses paysages grandioses, mais aussi
les prouesses sportives (ascensions, escalades, ski, automobile, etc.) qui
ont fait la renommée de la ville.
The photographic collection of the Gay-Couttet family comprises around
12,000 photographs taken for the most part in Chamonix and the Alps
between 1880 and 1980. Admire Chamonix from 1880 to 1980 through the
eyes of a dynasty of photographers (Michel, Auguste and Adolphe, Justin
and Roland). Explore the wide-open spaces, mountains and magnificent
landscapes, as well as the sporting exploits (rock climbing, skiing, motor
sports, etc.) that have made the resort so famous.

joue avec les transparences et la géométrie pour faire naître des créations
minimalistes et épurées, dans un univers graphique qui lui est propre.
Des créations originales à découvrir autour d'un chocolat chaud, au
1er étage du salon de thé !
This young artist from Chamonix uses her works to convey her passion for
skiing and her love of nature, which fuel her imagination. She plays with
transparency and geometry to design minimalist and refined creations,
in a graphic universe of her own. Original creations to discover on the
1st floor, while enjoying a hot chocolate!

L'exposition permanente vous invite à voyager dans l'histoire de la vallée
de Chamonix, avec les débuts de l'alpinisme et la conquête du mont Blanc,
les grandes aventures scientifiques à 4 000 m d'altitude, la création des
sports d'hiver et d'été, le développement touristique... et pour finir, une
sélection artistique dédiée cette année à la Mer de Glace.
The permanent exhibition takes you on a journey through the history of
Chamonix Valley, with the early days of mountaineering and the conquest of
Mont-Blanc, the great scientific adventures at an altitude of 4,000 m, the
creation of winter and summer sports, the development of tourism... and to
finish, a selection of artistic works dedicated this year to the Mer de Glace.

photographies, time-lapse et prises de vue aériennes par drone.
Du reportage à la spontanéité d'un élément. "L'importance
d'un instant, d'une ambiance, se retrouver sous les étoiles et
profi ter des refl ets des montagnes. Admirer le changement
de décor à travers les saisons, voilà ce qui m’intéresse dans
le travail de photographe".
Arnaud tells his stories and expresses his point of view through
his photographs, time-lapses and aerial shots taken with a
drone. Capturing spontaneity. "The importance of a moment,
an ambiance, looking up at the stars and playing on the re-

PIERRE RAPHOZ Pierre fait de la photo animalière, de paysage, d’architecture,
d’évènementiel et de cérémonie. "Faire une photo c’est pour moi
avoir la curiosité d’observer le monde, de saisir le bel instant
avec les belles lumières. Mais c’est aussi partager une émotion.
Qu’elle soit due à un regard, à un paysage ou à une ambiance".

PASCAL TOURNAIRE "Au bon endroit, au bon moment, avec la lumière pour seul
maître… Ni conquête, ni sommet, ni croix, mais un instant, une
vision. Dans l’absolu, c’est bien, mais la réalité est souvent
plus triviale". Pascal aime témoigner des émotions ressenties
par les alpinistes : le froid, la fatigue, la peur, l’engagement
aussi, l’amitié, le sentiment de liberté.

PATRICE LABARBE Patrice est accompagnateur en moyenne montagne et auteur
photographe. "Depuis une vingtaine d’années, je marche en
compagnie des arbres, des plantes, des rochers, des nuages.
Je surveille les mouvements, les sons, les odeurs et les
couleurs de la nature qui m’entoure. De tout cela, je fais des
photos-témoignages qui tentent de magnifi er l’assise extraor-
dinaire sur laquelle est placé l’être humain".
Patrice is a mid-mountain guide and author-photographer.
