Foreword
In recent years the security industry has made considerable progress in
the development of educational systems and qualifications frameworks
in support of a rapidly changing industry. The SITO/City and Guilds
1851 examination has been specifically designed to help the industry
develop the pool of technicians required if it is to meet the demands of

Security Industry Training Organisation (SITO) joint certificate 1851
award ‘Knowledge of Security and Emergency Alarm Systems’ Module
002IntruderAlarmSystems.Whileitcontainstheessentialcontentofthe
course it can equally be used by all personnel with an interest in the
intruder alarm industry.
