Cochylimorpha Razowski (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae: Cochylini)
in China: one new species, three newly recorded species
and description of the female of three species

Cochylimorpha subnomadana sp. n., fromMt. Liupan, Ningxia, China is de-
scribed as new. Cochylimorpha declivana (Kennel, 1901), C. halophilana
clavana (Constant, 1888), and C. meridiolana (Ragonot, 1894) are newly re-
corded for China. The previously unknown females of C. conankinensis (Ge,
1992),C.maleropa(Meyrick,1937),andC.razowskianaKuznetzov,2005are
describedforthefirsttime.Photographsoftheadultsandgenitaliaareprovided,
alongwithakeytoallthedescribedChineseCochylimorphaspecies.

Diagnosis. Adult (Fig. 1d) with wingspan
21.0–23.0mm.Thisspeciescanbeeasilydistin-
guishedfromitscongenersbyhavingauniform
forewingmaculation.Themalegenitaliaaresim-
ilartothoseofC.nankinensis(Razowski,1964),
butthoseofC.meridiolanacanbedifferentiated
bythemedianprocessofthetranstillagradually
narrowedfromthebasetotheapex,andthephal-
lus lacking cornuti (Fig. 2d). In C. nankinensis,
themedianprocessofthetranstillaisnearlysemi-
circular,andthephallushastwocornuti.Thefe-
malegenitalia(Fig.4b)aresimilartothoseofC.
jaculana (Snellen, 1883), but the corpus bursae
lacksacircleofsclerotizedband,whichispresent
ontheposterior3/4inC.jaculana.
