It is very strange that I wrote this book in the Sea of Cortez.  It is far away from Tropical Abandoned islands.  At least the kind addressed in this book.  Spear fishing is great in the Sea.  Maybe that is where I received my inspiration. 

This book describes a world that is right out there waiting for you.  What are you doing sitting in a marina or lounging in front of a TV?  True adventure and the romance of your dreams is waiting for you right over the horizon. 

You just have to reach out, buy the book, get dreaming and then get going! 

Heaven isn't something that happens after we are dead.  Heaven can be reached right here on Earth.  Trust me, I've been there and I am so going back!  Oh, Yeah!

Mike Riley, in between writing books and sailing the oceans, has been a penguin breeder, a longline fisherman, a Car Ferry captain, a whale hunter, an industrial spy, a dolphin and sea lion collector, a microbiologist, and the CEO of Husband For Rent. He and his wife, Karen, live on their 41’ ketch, Beau Soleil, and can be found anywhere there is blue water and a far horizon.
