Praise for How to be a Brilliant Mentor
‘How timely is this “guide” given all the studies showing the
positive and accelerating impact a mentor can have on one's
career, especially in today's fast-changing, web-driven global
economy. That successful mentoring, which this book outlines,
can be a win-win for both mentors' and mentees' personal and
professional growth cannot be understated. Hang on to this
road-map for your career's journey!’
Irene Natividad, President, Global Summit of Women
‘A pragmatic guide for the braves who want to become people
developers, beyond pretending this is a given by design for all
managers.’
Armelle Carminati-Rabasse, Chief Resources Officer, Unibail-Rodamco
‘Powerful and wise people have mentored others since the
dawn of human history. Indeed, mentoring has always been
an important way to pass on leadership skills and responsibil-
ity – down the generations. This book is an excellent account of
this close relationship between becoming and performing for
mentors, how managers can become mentors and thus enhance
their own leadership abilities.’
Francesco Savio, Corporate Diversity Manager, Total Group

Gisèle Szczyglak is an Executive Coach, facilitator and author.
She has a PhD in political philosophy and is the founder of a
Franco-British company, WLC Partners. Gisèle has developed
expertise in implementing mentoring programmes within com-
panies and institutions. In 2014, she wrote the first toolkit on
mentoring, published by Pearson in France: Guide pratique du
mentoring. Développez l’intelligence collective [A practical guide to
mentoring. Develop collective intelligence]. She has created a
unique methodology for leading collective mentoring sessions,
working in both the private and the public sectors. She has set
up an association dedicated to mentoring – the International
Mentoring Centre.
Through her company, Gisèle helps business, institutions and
governments to adopt a new approach and maximise collective
intelligence in order to increase performance and find innova-
tive solutions.
Gisèle has developed a positive approach to help individuals
reach their potential and to maximise talent within an orga-
nisation. Her company offers and facilitates discussions on
topics relevant to companies, institutions and governments.
WLC Partners runs tailor-made programmes and workshops
on leadership, intercultural management and communication.
