INT. SURAJ’S HOUSE - BARN - AFTERNOON
SURAJ - MAN IN HIS EARLY 40’S. HANDSOME. RUGGED. RIPPED.
Suraj is sittin’ on a chair. Suraj is starin’ at the WILD.
Afternoon’s warm breeze is blowin’. We see mellowness in his
EYES. Suraj keeps starin’ at the golden crops in front of
him. Suraj takes a puff outta his cigarette.
KRISH- SURAJ’S SON - 22 - HANDSOME. Krish comes outta nowhere
& sits down near his father’s chair. Krish is tired. Krish
settles down. Krish then stares at the golden crops scattered
across the place in front of him. We now see BOTH SURAJ &
KRISH LOOKIN’ AT THE GOLDEN CROPS STRETCHED ACROSS THE
LANDSCAPE. Both of them keep starin’ at it FOR A WHILE.
Krish then looks at Suraj. Suraj looks at krish. Both of them
smile at each other. Both of then again look back at golden
crops in front of them. SURAJ SMILES.
SURAJ
Iseh zyada kuch bhi khubsurat nai
ho sakta .. Jese charo aur kisi ne
sona bikhraya ho..
Suraj’s eyes shine bright. Krish looks smiles whilst lookin’
at the golden crops in front of him. Krish is able to see
what his father is able to see.
KRISH
Kafi khubsurat hai.
Krish wipes sweat off his forehead. Krish smiles.
SURAJ
Ek din yeh sabb mitti meh mil
jayega. Shuru jis tarikke seh hua
tha.... khatam bhi ussi tarah seh
hoga.
Suraj then passes his cigarette to krish. Krish takes a puff
outta it & passes it back.
SURAJ (CONT’D)
Teri maa ne pite hue dekh liya na
cigarette toh mujhe chata padega.
Voh bhi accha wala.
Krish chuckles.
KRISH
Dekhne layak scene hoga.

SURAJ
Tujhe bhi lapet legi voh .. Tu bhi
khayega chata mere saath.
Krish smiles whilst shakin’ his head a little.
KRISH
Iss bar acchi khat hui hai.
SURAJ
(noddin’ a little)
Haa.. Kaffi acchi rahi hai khaat
iss bar.
Krish rotates his neck a little.
KRISH
Papa kal raat seh kuch nai khaya
mene, bhuk laggi hai.
SURAJ
Pure din khana khana.. itna chila
rehta hai pure din, par phir jab
khane beth te hai toh achank seh
teri bhuk gayab ho jati hai.
Krish smirks a little. Suraj gets up. Suraj then gives krish
a hand. Krish grabs suraj’s hand & gets up. We see both of
them headin’ towards the house.
SURAJ (CONT’D)
Teri maa neh kobbi ki sabzi banai
hai tere liye aaj.
KRISH
Yaar aap lok mujhe itna pareshan
kyon karte ho ?
Suraj chuckles.
SURAJ
Kobbi ki sabzi seh itni nafrat kyon
hai tujhe ?
KRISH
Bass nai aachi lagti.. Kya karu.
Aur aapko bhi nai pasand hai vese.
SURAJ
Teri maa koh matt kehna.. Belen seh
sarr todd degi hum dono ka.
Krish chuckles.

Kobi ki sabzi kisko pasand aati hai
yar ?
SURAJ
Teri ma ko .. Toh abb humme bhi
khani padegi. Sehle. Vese bhi sirf
hafte meh ek hi din khani padti.
Koi nai.
INT. KITCHEN - AFTERNOON
Kitchen looks musty. ZEENA - BEAUTIFUL. IN HER LATE 30’S.
SURAJ’S WIFE & KRISH’S MOTHER. Zeena is movin’ back & forth..
Servin’ Suraj & Krish. Suraj & krish are havin’ lunch whilst
lookin’ at each other. A secret conversation is happenin’
between this two. Suraj shakes his head & tries to
intimaidate krish with his eyes. Krish had enough. Krish
looks at his plate which is filled with Kobi ki sabzi. Zeena
goes to the kitchen counter to grab more chappatis. Zeena
then joins Suraj & Krish on the dinin’ table. Zeena settles
down & serves chappati to suraj & krish. Krish looks at
Suraj. Suraj signals him to stay put. Zeena looks at krish.
ZEENA
Yeh kya laga rakha hai tum dono neh
pichli paach minton seh. Kya kichdi
pakk rahi hai ? Kya ishare ho rahe
hai ?
Suraj looks at zeena & smiles.
SURAJ
Kuch nai.. Kuch nai.
Krish looks at zeena & then looks at suraj. Zeena looks at
both of them.
ZEENA
Kuch toh pakk rah hai tum dono keh
bich meh. Chalo abb bata do ki kya
chal raha hai?
Both of them are ignorin’ zeena’s plea to know what the
secret conversation is about. Suraj starts eatin’ his meal.
Krish also starts eatin’ his meal. Zeena then looks at krish.
Krish cant lie to zeena anymore.
KRISH
Woh mammi... Mujhe aur papa ko kobi
ki sabzi nai pasand hai.

Sirf tumhara dil rakhne keh liye
khate hai yeh sabzi hum dono.
Zeena looks at krish & then turns her gaze towards suraj.
Suraj stops eatin’. Suraj looks at zeena & smiles.
SURAJ
Yeh juth bol raha hai. Nikkamma
kahika. Mujhe toh bilkul pasand hai
yeh sabzi. Meri favorite hai balki.
Zeena just stares at suraj. Zeena isnt pleased with this new
revelation made by krish. Zeena sulks. Zeena shakes her head
a little & resumes with her plate. Zeena takes a chappati &
swishes it with kobbi ki sabzi. Zeena puts it in her mouth.
ZEENA
(whilst eatin’)
Inti aachi sabzi pasand nai hai
bolo. Baap bete dono nikkame ho.
Marro dono.
Suraj keeps eatin’ without sayin’ anything to zeena - WISE
MAN. Krish takes a bite & swallows it. Krish has barely ate
anything from the plate but signals zeena that his lunch is
over.
KRISH
Pet bhar gaya bass. Bahut acchi
banni thi.
Zeena shakes her head.
ZEENA
Natak matt kar.. Chup chap khatam
kar puri plate.
Krish then looks at suraj. Suraj furrows his eyebrows &
signals krish to finish the lunch. Zeena then looks at suraj.
ZEENA (CONT’D)
Apne bete seh kuch kaho.. Kahye
bina sukkhi lakdi banta ja raha hai
yeh.
Krish looks little down due zina’s cold remark. Krish resumes
his lunch. Suraj notices this.
SURAJ
Lakdi hai.. Parr handsome lakdi
hai.
Krish smiles a little. Zeena cant help it but to smile as
well.

KRISH
(embarrassed)
Kya papa aap bhi.
ZEENA
Handsome hi hoga na dikhne meh.
Mujh par jo gaya hai.
Suraj looks at zeena. Krish smiles as he sees this. LETS
READY & RUMBLE !
SURAJ
Uska matlab meh dikhne meh aacha
nai hu ?
ZEENA
(smilin’)
Tum ho.. Par mere mukable fikke pad
jate ho.
SURAJ
(teasin’)
Aurton seh behes karte waqt koi
mard nai jeeta aajtak. Iss liye meh
behes nai karuga.
ZEENA
Badtameez !
Zeena slaps suraj’s wrist playfully. Suraj laughs & takes
zeena’s hands & rubs it in an affectionate manner. Krish
looks at this & smiles. Zeena gets back to her meal. Suraj
takes a bite & looks at krish.
SURAJ
Sun...
Krish takes a bite & looks at suraj whilst chewin’ it.
SURAJ (CONT’D)
Aaj rat koh sarri khaat tujhe akele
rakhne jani hai monty keh vaha.
Krish shakes his head & makes a pleadin’ face.
KRISH
Nai.. Papa. Mujhe akele jana aacha
nai lagta.
SURAJ
Tujhe yeh sare kaam karne parege.
Yeh khet tera hai abb.

Tu nai sikhega inn logo seh
bhavtoli karna aur cheeze idhar
udhar karna .. Toh kese chale ga.
KRISH
Parr...
Suraj & Zeena looks at krish.
SURAJ
Parr kya ?
KRISH
(beat)
Voh uncle humesha mujhe uski moti
ladki keh sath lagane ki koshish
meh laggeh rehte hai.
Suraj & zeena chuckle a little. Suraj shakes his head whilst
chucklin’. Suraj looks at krish.
SURAJ
(teasin’)
Kya pata tujhe iss bar voh pasand
aajaye.
Suraj starts laughin’. Krish looks little taken back. Zeena
slaps suraj’s shoulder.
ZEENA
Krish.. Meh hu. Teri shadi wahi
hogi jaha terri hammi ho.
SURAJ
Mahapurush neh dundh li hai ladki
toh phele seh. Tum bhul kese gai
itni jaldi ?
Zeena gives a dramatic expression.
ZEENA
Ohhh.. Meh toh bhul hi gai. Dimaag
seh nikkal hee gaya mere.
Zeena & suraj smile at krish. Krish can do nothin’ but get
roasted by both of them. Krish smiles to defuse the situation
but suraj & zeena are not leavin’ this joke anytime soon.
SURAJ
(shakin’ his head)

woh moti ladki keh sath hee
