Re: Requirements of § G.C.A, §10707, Annual Report

Doar Attorney General Barrett-Anderson,
Pursuant to tha roquiraments ol 6 G.C.A, §10107, GWA hereby responds as follows:
5 G.C.A.§10107. Annual Report

(2) On or before February of each yesr, each agenoy shal submit tothe Attomey
General 8 teport which shall cover the preceding fiscal yoar and which shal include:

(1) The number of determinations made by the agency not ta comaly with
requests for records made to such agency under §10108 of this Chaptor and
the reagons for each such determination;

GWA Response: To the bost af my knowledge, GWA has responded to
all FOIA Requests for FY2017.

(2) The number of requests for records pending before the agency as of
September 20 ofthe preceding year, and the median number ef cays that
‘such requests had boon pending before the agency as ofthat dete:

GWA Response: | am not aware of any pending requests.

(3) The nuinber of requests for records received by the agency and the number
of requests which the agency processed;
GWA Response: For FY2017 GWA recolved sixteen (16) FOIA requests
and responded. Iam not aware of any pending requests,

(4) The median number of days taken by the agency ta process diferent types of
requests;
GWA Response: GWA avaragod four (4) days to address the sixteen
(16) FOIA requests. Additional time was communicated to the requestor
‘when the request required moro rosearch

(5) The number of fulltime staf of the agency devoted ta pracassing requests for
records under this Secton, and the total amount exended by the agency for
processing such requests,

GWA Response: There is a minimum of two and a maximum of five
‘employees that receive requests, obtain the necessary information from
the section(s) that possess or may possess the documents requested
and then prepare the responses,

{b) Each agency shall make each such report available tothe publ, ineluding by
computer lelecommunications, or compute elecommunieations means have not
boon established by the agency, by olner electronic means.

GWA Response: The repart wil be posted on our website at
wwmw.quamwaterworks.org as required.

{¢} The Atfornay General of Guam shall make each report which has been made
‘available by electronic means available at a single access point. The Attomey
General of Guam shall notify the Legislature Secretary of Lineslaturan Guahan, no
later than Apri ofthe year in which gach such report is issued, that such reports
are avaliable by electronic means.
