Overall Best Performer in Skill Training for NSDC
• Gram Tarang Employability Training Services adjudged ‘Overall
Best Performer‟ during FY 11-12.
• Jury took into account Gram Tarang‟s presence in Naxal-affected
areas within the geographies from where it operates and its impact
on the local population for naming it the winner of the biggest
award for exceeding its target by training over 6,200 youth with
a strong placement record of around 81%
• 75% of the candidates having SC/ST/OBC status and mostly
originating from disadvantaged districts of Orissa & Andhra
Pradesh.
• Evaluation criteria built on the basis of a scorecard,
specifically prepared by consulting firm McKinsey,
• Criteria include scale, impact and sustainability of
operations.
• Independent Jury comprised of representatives of
Accenture, American India Foundation (AIF), and
Michael and Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF)
