Sie fühlt sich abgeschoben und im Stich gelassen.</span><span>In der Wohnung aber lebt noch jemand, nämlich der Geheime Ratt Goethe, eine zahme Ratte. Sie wohnt in einer Kiste und ist wirklich sehr geheim, weil Astrid sie dort versteckt hat. Doch Simone entdeckt sie, und Goethe entwischt ihr. Das hat Folgen. Astrid tobt vor Wut und macht eine Dummheit. Auch Onkel Rainer tobt und kann aus Angst vor Goethe nachts nicht mehr ruhig schlafen. Wäre Goethe in der Kiste geblieben, hätte Simone auch weniger Schwierigkeiten gehabt, sich bei ihren Verwandten einzuleben. Andererseits sorgt Goethe durch seinen Ausbruch dafür, daß aus dem anfänglichen „Drama“ doch noch ein „Lustspiel“ wird. Denn Simone ist bald viel zu beschäftigt, um dauernd an ihre Wut und ihr Heimweh zu denken...</span><br></br></br>
