Dear Friends,
On behalf of the San Francisco Glens Junior Soccer Association, thank
you for coming tonight to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the San Francisco
Glens Soccer Club. We congratulate all Glens members – past, present and
future – on all of their accomplishments over the last 50 years.

In an effort to revive the Glens, John McCormack and Leo Cassidy formed
the San Francisco Glens Junior Soccer Association in the Spring of 2010
with the idea that this club would be, first and foremost, about our kids.
The number one priority is to make this sport both fun and affordable for
all families in our community. We strive to develop the skills of all players,
starting with the basics and aiming to grow them into top class players.
Over the last 18 months, we have advanced through our divisions and are
working our way up the ranks! We hope to have the players continue playing
the sport through high school and then return to their roots and revive a senior
Glens team in the coming years.

The youth members of the San Francisco Glens Junior Soccer Association have
the ability and talent to progress and become competitive at the State level.
We can see that every weekend on the field. Our teams are growing stronger
and stronger each season. But for our club to continue on this road – and to
keep the fees affordable for all – it is vitally important that we have dedicated
volunteers and fundraising throughout the life of the club.

Thank you for joining us tonight to celebrate this milestone achievement in the
SF Glens Soccer Club history. We could not have accomplished the revival
of The Glens without the commitment and enthusiasm from the parents and
coaches. We appreciate the continued support from everyone who has ever
been involved with the Glens and are proud to carry on the legacy of this
prestigious club.

We look forward to a successful spring season and an unforgettable
evening tonight!
