AURELIO ICASIANO
From writing and editing for print and online media to television production, brand
development consultation, and amateur occult research, Aurelio has always been a jack-of-odd-
trades. Profiles and narratives remain his foremost interests, however, and this issue sees him
commit Giorgio Armani’s story to print.
JULIAN BROAd
Long established in the U.K. editorial market, Julian has, in recent years, built upon his
reputation within the U.S. Shooting for the likes of W, Details, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Teen
Vogue, Travel and Leisure, D Magazine and GQ has allowed him to produce stunning
portraits of many international celebrities working today.
Julian photographed Mr. Armani for our cover.
MARICRIS ENCARNACION
Maricris travels frequently to Vietnam, a witness to its astounding progress
through the years. She is captivated by Central Vietnam’s charm, its history
and culture, its Indochine feel. And of course, there’s the food.
MAYBELLINE TE
The writer went ape and bananas (in reference to Prada’s Spring 2011
collection) over the “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations
“exhibit. These memorable snippets from the convo hit close to home. She
relates to Schiaparelli’s maxim: “Finding beauty in my own way when
it comes to her life and work, creating furniture and interiors. Prada’s
humbling statement makes for a lovely reminder as well, I think you have
to do your job and who cares about the title? “

Local Cacao, World Class
Tabléa Chocolate Café was inspired by its principal ingredient. Tabléas (or tableyas) are pure
cacao beans that are dried, roasted, ground and then formed into tablets traditionally used in the
Philippines to make hot chocolate.
Tabléa seeks to continue this Filipino tradition, while updating it by finding many new uses for
tabléa, including unique hot chocolate variations, ice-blended Fríos, and a wide array of tabléa-
based desserts and snacks.
Based in the island of Cebu, it is proud to use local cacao from various parts of the Philippines,
and hope it can one day play a role in reinvigorating the Filipino cacao growing industry.
