Je la trouvais d'un âge qui n'avait plus grand-chose à dire aux filles de Simone de Beauvoir, dont je me revendiquais.<br>Ma découverte fut en partie fortuite. La demeure de l'Indre, héritée de sa grand-mère, représente ses racines, mais aussi un refuge contre Paris, qui fit sa renommée et qu'elle n'aimait pas, une « oasis » propice au travail : elle y écrivit l'essentiel de son oeuvre, comme Chopin y composa la majeure partie de la sienne. Nohant, elle en rêvait comme d'un phalanstère d'artistes, une communauté égalitaire, un endroit de création et d'échanges par la musique (Liszt, Chopin, Pauline Viardot), la peinture (Delacroix, Rousseau), l'écriture (Flaubert, Dumas, Fromentin, Renan, Tourgueniev ), le théâtre, la conversation.<br>Ce lieu, Sand l'a investi. L'art y établit la communion des coeurs et des esprits. C'est aussi une cellule politique, inspirée par le socialisme de Pierre Leroux, noyau républicain support de journaux et ferment subversif des manières de vivre et de penser. Nohant est le creuset d'une utopie, pénétrée par le désir de changer le monde.<br>Pas plus que personne, Sand n'a réalisé son rêve. Aujourd'hui, il nous reste ce lieu, de pierre et de papier, témoin d'une histoire d'amour aux accents infinis.<br><br></p></br></br></br></br></br>
