The new geoid has a resolution of 1.50' x 1.50' and covers Italy from 37-48° N latitude and 6-19° E longitude. It was compared to 11 European Vertical Network points in Italy and has a smaller standard deviation of 12.5 cm, improving upon previous geoid models for the region.
