Dear Sister_______:

If a message that we do not understand should come to us in the name of the Lord, what are we admonished
to do?

"...if a message comes that you do not understand, TAKE PAINS that you may hear the reasons the
messenger may give, comparing scripture with scripture, that you may know whether or not it is sustained
by the Word of God." – Testimonies on Sabbath-School Work, pp. 65,66.

"You, yourself, can now answer the question as to-whether you are a Davidian or still a Laodicean. If you
are satisfied with yourself, with your spiritual attainments. or with your man-made gospel program, if you
think that the Lord is speaking to you by whatever happens to 'click' in your mind; if you think you have ALL
the Truth, and that you have need of nothing more; if you think that everyone who does not have your stamp
of approval on his belief, is a false prophet; and if you are in constant fear that someone is everlastingly
trying to deceive you because he teaches something NEW; if you never give it a thought that you MAY BE
slamming your door against a Truth-bearer who MAY BE bringing to you the Lord's 'eyesalve,' and the
'wedding garment' – if YOU do all these or ANY part of them, then YOU must be as good a Laodicean as
you can possibly be, NOT a Davidian (Branch)." – Timely Greetings, Rev. Vol. 1, No. 8, p. 28.

The time has come for us to apply these words of counsel to ourselves, not the Davidians or Seventh-day
Adventists, for "judgment begins first at the house of God" (1 Pet. 4:17).

May The Branch, the Son of God, help us to pass the test that will determine our destiny, that of advancing
with Truth as it unfolds!

Dear Elder____________:
Thank you for your candid, straightforward reply to our letter! In contrast, we cannot help but wonder why
the many different General Conference brethren maintain a spirit of silence and disobedience to the Bible
admonition to "try the spirits," and "to take pains" to "hear the reasons the messenger may give." –
Testimonies on Sabbath School Work, p. 65.
Does not the vernal equinox indicate which new moon begins the year? "The first of these festivals, the
Passover, the feast of unleavened bread, occurred on Abib, the first month of the Jewish year,
corresponding to the last of March and the beginning of April." – Patriarchs & Prophets, p. 537.
The Spirit of Prophecy is rich in proof and validity for Christians keeping the feast days. Take, for instance,
the statement in Patriarchs & Prophets, pp. 540, 541. "Well would it be for the people of God AT THE
PRESENT TIME to have a Feast of Tabernacles,–a joyous commemoration of the blessings of God to
them."
" 'And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly
there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were
sitting.'... Pentecost brought them the heavenly illumination... What was the result of the outpouring of the
Spirit on the day of Pentecost?"–Acts of the Apostles, pp. 37, 45, 48.
If Pentecost had been nailed to the cross, as many claim, then please explain the above statement. Then,
too, if Pentecost was no longer to be observed, what was Jesus doing in the heavenly sanctuary on the
day of Pentecost officiating as the High Priest and pouring out the promised Spirit upon the disciples? Either
Jesus was in the wrong place at the wrong time doing the wrong thing, or multitudes are in error by saying
the feast days were nailed to the cross! Now surely, Jesus never sinned, so He was in the right place at the
right time (day of Pentecost), and doing the right thing. Sister White says, "...But after Christ's ascension
His enthronement in His mediatorial kingdom was signalized by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. On the
day of Pentecost the Spirit was given." – Christ's Object Lessons, p. 120. What a strange thing for Jesus to
do if the Pentecost were illegal!
"The Spirit that fell on the disciples on the day of Pentecost will fall on us."–Testimonies, vol. 8. p. 246.
At this point, one might ask, What kind of a crown did Jesus receive since He was enthroned in His
"mediatorial kingdom"? Then, too, what kind of crown did Moses receive in the wilderness? Who crowned
Moses? Does God have a time in His timetable for such an event, that of crowning? Did Moses and Jesus
know the time for crowning? The answers to these questions should surely help one to understand more
fully the crowning that took place on Pentecost, June 14, 1970, at New Mt. Carmel Center.
It is clear that Jesus sanctioned the 120 observing the day of Pentecost, since He sent them the outpouring
of the Holy Spirit at the time of the "daily," the third hour (Acts 2:15). Not only the 120 were sanctified on
the day of Pentecost, but in addition there were about 3,000 "that gladly received his word." Acts 2:41. God
does everything according to correct time and on time!

In 1970 why did some 2,000 General Conference ministers, as reported, pray earnestly for the Pentecost
many days, and why did they pinpoint June 14, 1970 as THE DAY, which was the day of Pentecost for
1970 according to the law of Moses and the Lamb? What calendar did they use and why was it the same
day as we observed the Pentecost, at which time the coronation took place at New Mt. Carmel Center in
Waco? The General Conference had the date of the feast of weeks (Pentecost) figured correctly according
to the Jewish calendar, but the event they anticipated was wrong.
Speaking of the General Conference brethren, you state that you are "still working half time for the General
Conference and I am the editor of our ______ literature, and thus far I have not heard our leading brethren
say that we ought to keep the yearly festivals of the Jews as recorded in Leviticus 23."
Of what you say, I am very well aware since the feast laws of Leviticus 23 are not a part of the Third Angel's
Message in the time of the investigative Judgment for the Dead. Leviticus 23, in antitype, is for the living
and not the dead. This is where the addition of the angel of Revelation 18:1 comes in with His message of
the feast laws to join the Third Angel and give power and force to the message of the Investigative Judgment
for the Living. Our brethren are not to be criticized for not having taught, in the past, something other than
what has been the Present Truth of the Third Angel's Message which did not include the Levitical law. If
they had, they would have been running ahead. However, now that the message of that mighty other Angel
(Early Writings, p. 277) has arrived, the Judgment for the Living is not only going on in the books in heaven,
but the Angel (Christ in the message) has come down to earth, and is judging the church (1 Pet. 4:17: Matt.
13:30: Rev. 14:14-17). Jesus taught His disciples a message to be given to the world, after the Spirit's
power should come. So it is today, and we are learning stages of a fresh new message to be given to the
world in the Loud Cry, when the Holy Spirit in power shall come.
Ellen G. White stated the essence of this in Great Controversy, p. 490, that, in 1844, the judgment for the
dead in the Sanctuary in heaven began. We know the dead are judged by the ten commandment law. But
they were looking forward to the time when the judgment for the living would start. The living in the church
are judged (1 Pet. 4:17) not only by the ten commandment law in the books in heaven but the church on
earth is judged by the message of the feasts or ceremonial law of the Sanctuary as well.
Why did the First-day Adventists observe the Day of Atonement in 1844 if it were nailed to the cross? Why
did they use the time pointed out in the Mosaic law if it were invalid? "Different periods in the history of the
church have each been marked by the development of some special truth, adapted to the necessities of
God's people at that time... The Lord gives a special truth for the people in an emergency. Who dare refuse
to publish it?"–The Great Controversy, p. 609. "For His church in every generation God has a special truth
and a special work."–Christ's Object Lessons, p. 78.
"In like manner the types which relate to the second advent must be fulfilled AT THE TIME POINTED OUT
IN THE SYMBOLIC SERVICE (feasts of Leviticus 23!). Under the Mosaic system the Cleansing of the
sanctuary, or the great day of Atonement, occurred on the tenth day of the seventh Jewish month (Leviticus
16:29-34) ....So it was believed that Christ, our great High Priest, would appear to purify the earth by the
destruction of sin and sinners, and to bless His waiting people with immortality. The tenth day of the seventh
month, the great day of Atonement, the time of the cleansing of the sanctuary, which in the year 1844 fell
upon the twenty-second of October, was regarded as the time of the Lord's coming. This was in harmony
with the proofs already presented that the 2300 days would terminate in the autumn, and the conclusion
seemed IRRESISTIBLE."–The Great Controversy, pp, 399,400.
Would it not seem strange for Inspiration to base an "irresistible" "conclusion" on a time which had been
nailed to the cross and lost all meaning?
No, dear brother, the feast days were not nailed to the cross, but it was Jesus, the true sacrificial Lamb,
Who was nailed there! The little horn power only thought to change "times and laws" – two laws with time
in them. (1) In 321 A.D. he thought to change the Sabbath of the fourth commandment moral law, the
seventh day of the week, to Sunday, the first day of the week. (2) This same power, the same pagan
emperor Constantine who thought to change the Sabbath

to Sunday in 321 A.D., thought to change the time of the memorial of the antitypical Passover, the Lord's
Supper (the date established by the Son of God before the world began), from Abib 14 at evening to a
different time of the month and year–to a pagan memorial, Easter Sunday, in honor of "the goddess of light
or spring, Eostra."–National Encyclopedia, Vol. 4, p. 8. Daniel teaches this in Daniel 7:25 and 9:27. As you
know, the change of the Passover was in 325 A.D. (Nat. Enc. Vol 4:8).
Ellen G. White states: "When the Savior yielded up his life on Calvary, the significance of the Passover
ceased, and the ordinance of the Lord's Supper was instituted as a MEMORIAL of the same event of which
the Passover had been a type."–Patriarchs & Prophets, p. 539. See Luke 22:14,19,20.
The Lord's Supper was instituted as a memorial of the same event of which the Passover (memorial of
deliverance in Egypt) was a type (Lev. 23:5-8; Matt. 26:2,17-20,26-28). As the seventh-day Sabbath is a
memorial of creation so the Lord's Supper (Christian Passover–1 Cor. 5:7,8) is a memorial of Recreation
and Redemption. Therefore, let the Truth be established in the mouth of two or three witnesses (Matt.
18:16).
Partaking of the Lord's Supper at 11:00 a.m. is a luncheon, and therefore, not a memorial of our Savior's
death and redemption any more than Sunday is the memorial of creation. Brother, when are the brethren
of General Conference going to follow Present Truth rather than tradition?
This is why Paul commands: "For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us, therefore LET US KEEP
THE FEAST..." 1 Cor. 5:7,8.
"At Philippi Paul tarried TO KEEP THE PASSOVER... The Philippians (GENTILE converts) were the most
loving and true–hearted of the apostle's converts, and during the eight days of the feast he enjoyed peaceful
and happy communion with them."–Acts of the Apostles, pp. 390,391.
Regarding the "daily" (Dan. 8:11-13), of which the Bible Commentary says, "Perhaps this is one of the
passages of Scripture on which we must wait until A BETTER DAY for a FINAL ANSWER," (Vol. 4, p. 843),
it is evident Jesus did not do away with the "daily," for we find 500 years later that the Catholic church took
it away from the Messianic Jews and made [the] "mass" out of it. Since the "daily" means "continually" or
"continual" (BC4:842), then why do some say it stopped at the cross and was nailed there? It could not be
continual and cease at the cross or there would be sin and no covering as long as sin exists!!
Further, if the ceremonial law were nailed to the cross, what law was Jesus following when He presented
the wave–sheaf in heaven before the Father on the morrow after the Sabbath? "Christ was the first fruits of
them that slept. It was to the glory of God that the Prince of life should be the first fruits, the antitype of the
wave sheaf... This very scene, the resurrection of Christ from the dead, had been celebrated in type by the
Jews... So those who had been raised were to be presented to the universe as a pledge of the resurrection
of all who believe in Christ..."–Selected Messages, Book 1, p. 305.
"Christ arose from the dead as the first fruits of those that slept. HE WAS THE ANTITYPE OF THE WAVE
SHEAF, and His resurrection took place ON THE VERY DAY the wave sheaf was to be presented before
the Lord. For more than a thousand years this symbolic ceremony had been performed... SO CHRIST THE
FIRST FRUITS represented the great spiritual harvest to be gathered for the kingdom of God... As Christ
arose, He brought from the grave a multitude of captives... They ascended with Him as trophies of His
victory over death and the grave."–Desire of Ages, pp. 785,786.
Why did Christ arise on the very day of the offering of the wave sheaf, and why did He offer not only Himself
but His trophies on that very day, if the ceremonial law were nailed to the cross? The simple answer is
found in Jesus' statement, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to
destroy, but to FULFIL" Matt. 5:17.
Fulfil, of course, does not mean to cease, but to carry out, to put in force!

One question to which we would greatly appreciate having an answer from the brethren is in regard to
Isaiah 66:23.
"And it shall come to pass that from ONE NEW MOON TO ANOTHER, and from ONE SABBATH TO
ANOTHER, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord." If, as you say, the feast days were
nailed to the cross why worship the Lord on the new moon Sabbath in the new earth at all?
Since the church is not waiting until the earth made new to worship on the seventh-day Sabbath, why wait
until the earth made new to worship on the new moon Sabbath? As a result of the admonition of Isaiah, the
Gospel prophet, we, at New Mt. Carmel Center, observe both the seventh-day Sabbath and the new moon
Sabbath.
With this blazing light of Truth from the throne of Heaven focused upon God's people, what other course is
there left for us to take, brother?
"The new law has its own spirit, and its own Sacrifices, and its own FEASTS, which have taken THE PLACE
OF THOSE APPOINTED IN THE LAW OF MOSES. If we would know the DAYS TO BE OBSERVED, or
the regulations about them, of the spirit in which they are to be kept holy, WE MUST GO TO THE
CATHOLIC CHURCH, NOT TO THE MOSAIC LAW."–Catholic Catechism, quoted in Signs of the Times,

Nov. 4, 1919.
Dear Elder _______, keep the Lord's feasts, not the Pope's feasts! Remember, it was time"s" and law"s"
he thought to change! Dan. 7:25.
The items in the law, to which I call your attention here, show that we, as Seventh-day Adventists,
heretofore, have been unable to place them, in their true perspective, under the Third Angel's Message,
the Judgment for the Dead. They have become crystal clear to us now, in the light of the message of the
Angel of Revelation 18:1, the message of the Investigative Judgment for the Living in the house of God (1
Pet. 4:17), and is very evidently the addition to the Third Angel spoken of by E.G. White in Early Writings,
p. 277.
The message of Revelation 18 added to the Third Angel's Message, in the Loud Cry to the world will appeal
to all people, especially the Jews. In Israel some of the Orthodox Rabbis have said that this message of
The Branch is the greatest threat to orthodox Judaism that has come in our day. Of this we are well aware
since it deals in a positive way with their land and their law. A message that does not equate explicitly to
the law of Moses, in antitype, in connection with the promised land, will never have much effect upon the
Jewish people.
In the time of the message of the Investigative Judgment for the Dead, in the Sanctuary above, under the
Third Angel since 1844, and with the ten commandment law, we have the promise, if faithful, of eternal life
in the first resurrection (John 6:40,44,54). In the additional Angel's message, that of the Ceremonial Law of
the Lamb of God, we have the promise of living forever, bypassing the grave. See John 6:47-51. With this
supplementary light on the Word of God, and the plan of salvation, we are well aware why Sister White
stated that this Angel (Rev. 18:1) is glorious as He descends. Read Early Writings, p. 277.
We must remember that there is no salvation in the ten commandments for all have sinned. The promise
of redemption is found only in the ceremonial law for "without the shedding of blood there is no remission."
Heb. 9:22. In the light of these glorious facts God's saints need to hastily begin teaching Christ in the law;
not only in the law of the Creator (the ten commandments), but also to put our Saviour and Redeemer in
the law of the Re-Creator, the ceremonial law, and live forever (John 6:58).

Dear Branch Believer:

The time has come for another step forward for Branch Believers. Therefore, all are. advised to cultivate a
much closer relationship with Headquarters at New Mt. Carmel Center as we all endeavor to come into the
unity of faith, seeing "eye to eye" and lifting "up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing."

"And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of
Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing; fear not, but let your hands be strong.... These are the
things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbor; execute the judgment of truth and
peace in your gates: And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbor; and love no false
oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the Lord. Zech. 8: 13, 16, 17.

Judah and Israel are a curse among the heathen whose captives they are away from their vineyard of
Palestine (Ezek. 36:22.38). Instead of being a curse, Jehovah declares they shall return and be a blessing
to Messiah and the world. The heathen even boast that the land of Palestine is theirs and that they are
going to possess it. The one thing wrong with their boasting is that they have not taken God into their
councils. He says: "And I will strengthen... Judah and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them
again to place them; for I have mercy upon them, and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I
am the Lord their God and will hear them.... I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather
them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found
for them." Zech. 10:6,10.

Gilead is across the east bank and onward into Jordan. Lebanon is much farther north than Samaria, and
yet there is hardly room for all the people of Israel in the Kingdom for multitude.

"I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have
increased." Zech. 10:8.

Since the end is so near, and the sealing time of the 144,000 is almost over, it is very important that all
keep their hearts in tune with Heaven, and their ears tuned to the "Present Truth" of "Elias" (Elijah) that
restores all things (Matt. 17:11), even life without death (John 6:47.51), so that they may hear the "hiss"
(not a loud noise) when the Lord shall call. This Elijah restores the law of Moses to its proper place, and
turn to the fathers' hearts to their children and likewise he turns the children's hearts to their fathers (Mal.
4:4-6). Therefore, we are admonished to look for Elijah with the message of restoration rather than look for
Jesus' second coming which is after the Kingdom restored." Somebody is to come in the spirit and power
of Elijah..." – E.G. White, Testimonies to Ministers, p. 475, "Review & Herald, Feb. 18, 1890." "The
promise... is antitypical Elijah.... and-its antitypical fulfilment is now...imminent (future from early 1950's)..."

Branch ministers are receiving their final polishing, learning and performing the humble duties of their
ministry at New Mt. Carmel Center that they may be fitted to be servants of our Most High God.

"In the very prime of Life Moses thought himself capable of delivering the children of Israel. But Providence
said: 'You are not fit for the work, come out and I will make you fit' And out Moses went... During those forty
years of shepherd's life he forgot the Egyptian language, and with it the Egyptian learning. In its place,
though, he learned to tend well to sheep. He therefore dismissed from his mind the idea of ever delivering
the people of God from their Egyptian bondage. Then it was that God saw him strong and well able, and
commanded him to go back to Egypt and to bring out of it His groaning people." – Timely Greetings, Rev.
Vol. 1, No. 7, pp. 11, 4, 5.

Whereas Moses had forty years training to become God's instrument to deliver Israel, Branch ministers and
people have but a very little while to get prepared to be one of or one with the 144.000. Let us remember
that a wave sheaf shall precede the 144,000 firstfruits of Rev. 14:1-5. Are you prepared to go forth Brother,
Sister, if the Lord should call you tomorrow?

"...our God-given work does not consist of preaching alone, but of manual work, too. There are thousands
in the world who are as anxious to preach as are the bears to fill up their stomachs after coming out of their
winter hibernation, but there are few who will put their shoulders to the wheel and keep on pushing.

"What the world needs today is not preachers, but teachers who can teach with one hand and use the pick
or the shovel with the other hand."--Ibid., No. 9, p. 12.

As one of the laws of life is that there shall be no improvement, no progress, no growth, except at some
cost, at some premium, to something or someone, one, therefore, could little expect that the vital and
salutary change, which 1978 has brought in the fiscal economy of New Mt. Carmel, would come without its
price. The price which the General Office must pay for this Purchase of Progress, in addition to the growth
of the work itself, is a large increase in bookkeeping and general work – a large additional draft upon the
time and strength of the office workers.

Therefore, as the benefits of the new taping system accrue to the work and workers at large, the General
Office is asking all believers to share the costs of this heavy bill by giving the most religious regard to the
following important instruction:

Because of the steady increase in mail all questions sent to the General Office, names and addresses for
our mail evangelism, and requests for literature should each be listed on a sheet of paper entirely separate
from the body of the letter, so that the work here in the Office may be facilitated.

To avoid any confusion or organizational complications, the different councils are advised to disband for
the present time to assure a greater degree of communion with the General Office.

No individuals or groups of individuals in the field are authorized to collect Branch tithes and offerings.
Therefore, to be assured of proper credits, make out all checks and money orders payable to General
Office, New Mt. Carmel Center, and not to The Branch or some individual, so that each believer may be
qualified to hold a valid membership certificate, to be issued soon. A Remittance Slip is enclosed for your
convenience.

Applications for membership, tithes, and offerings, all literature requests and correspondence should be
addressed to the General Office, New Mt. Carmel Center, Rt. 7, Box 471-B, Waco, Texas 76705. This
address supercedes any previous one.

If all will faithfully cooperate to carry out the foregoing instruction, then they will be helping the machinery
of the Lord's work to run like the "wheel within a wheel," which smooth running condition is indispensable
to the success of the message.

"Since the end is so near, and the sealing time of the 144,000 is almost over, it is very important that all
keep their hearts in tune with Heaven, and their ears tuned to the 'Present Truth' of 'Elias' (the Elijah) that
restores all things (Matt. 17:11), even life without death (John 6:47-51), SO THAT THEY MAY HEAR THE
HISS (not a loud voice) when the Lord shall call." – Branch Field Letter, p. 1, Feb. 3, 1978.

"Verse 8 – I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they
have increased.

"The saints shall hear a CERTAIN SOUND, and by IT shall -the Lord gather them, for He has redeemed
them....

"The ministers must uplift the Lord and His Truth. They must no longer preach self, or sermons to gain
followers to themselves, but they must preach inspired sermons of Truth to gain converts to Christ. THEY
MUST INSTRUCT THEIR CONREGATIONS TO PRAY FOR STEADILY REVEALED TRUTH, AND TO
READILY ACCEPT IT REGARDLESS THROUGH WHOM IT COMES. The ministers must ever be on guard
against allowing themselves to be made idols. This they can do by no longer preaching self, but by
preaching Christ. Only in this way can they avoid becoming everlasting idols laid in tombs.... it is high time
for the ministers to cease taking God's place, and for the laity to cease making idols of the ministers..." –
Timely Greetings, Unrevised, Vol. 1, No. 17, pp. 8, 6, 1.

"At the time Jerusalem that now is (1946), falls (1948), the Lord's feet shall stand upon the Mount of Olives
(1977) and there make a very great valley; that is, remove the obstacles and hindrances, and thus prepare
the land for the returning of His people.' THEN it is that the prophecy of Zechariah 10:8 – that the Lord shall
'HISS' for His people – will have met its fulfillment." – Ibid., No. 19, p. 4.

Evidently, only those who "hear a CERTAIN SOUND (HISS)" will be gathered!

Are you either instructing or being instructed to pray for "steadily revealed truth" and are you ready to accept
truth "regardless through whom it comes"? Are you ceasing to make or be made an idol-minister?

May The Branch help each of us to recognize the "hiss" the Lord sends!

"The dispensation in which we are now living is to be, to those that ASK, the dispensation of the Holy Spirit.
Ask for His blessing. It is time we were more intense in our devotion. To us is committed the arduous, but
happy, glorious work of revealing Christ (The Branch) to those who are in darkness. We are called to
proclaim the special truths for this time. For all this the outpouring of the Spirit is essential. We should pray
for it. The Lord expects us to ask Him. We have not been wholehearted in this work.... What we need is the
quickening influence of the Holy Spirit of God ….. It is the time of the (pre) latter rain, when the Lord will
give largely of His Spirit (Matt. 10:5,6,7;.John 20:22). Be fervent in prayer, and watch in the Spirit." –
