Preface
Entrepreneurship has been seen as an alternative for social development in the world.
Various literature reports various efforts in different economic realities and social
dynamics. Thus, entrepreneurship has been seen as a survival mechanism for people
with limited resources or few job opportunities, often linked to rural populations or
migrants to the city. It has also been seen that entrepreneurship has been the mainstay
for several families related to such entrepreneurship in a small town.
Also known are the efforts made by governments and NGOs to support the
development of entrepreneurship, generating training and financing programs for
entrepreneurs, generating the economic development of several families involved,
and generating jobs. Also, some ventures have been guided to develop sales at national
and even international levels so that global entrepreneurship has also been achieved.
However, little has been explicitly reported about green entrepreneurship, which
is increasing due to the pandemic COVID-19 has taken a more significant role.
Because of this, this book seeks to cover different conceptual aspects, supported by
the broad approach to sustainability, providing concrete examples of entrepreneur-
ship, addressing the importance of the entrepreneurship mindset, and developing
topics that should be part of future research to support the further growth of green
entrepreneurship in the world.
This book shows the view of authors and editors in a highly relevant and timely
global change movement: green entrepreneurship. Highlighted in the book are rele-
vant literature and academic knowledge. We expect the book to guide students,
governments, teachers, universities, schools, firms, and citizens. Also, we trust that
this work supports creating more entrepreneurship initiatives and can be greener,
collaborating with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

About the Editors
Dr. Aldo Alvarez-Risco is an associate professor at Universidad de Lima in Peru.
He obtained his Ph.D. from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Mexico.
Also, he is Doctor in Pharmacy and Biochemistry, Master in Pharmacology and
Pharmacist at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Peru, and Master
in Pharmaceutical Care at Universidad de Granada in Spain. He has six years of
regulatory affairs experience in pharmaceutical companies and eight years of expe-
rience in the Ministry of Health in Peru. He has published more than 50 research
publications, written some book chapters, and authored/edited books in the areas of
pharmaceutical care, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and circular economy. He is a
lecturer in postgraduate programs since 2004 and a speaker in academic events in 21
countries.
Dr. Subramanian Senthilkannan Muthu currently works for Green Story as Chief
Sustaiinability Officer, Canada, and is based out of Hong Kong. He earned his Ph.D.
from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and is a renowned expert in the areas
of environmental sustainability in textiles and clothing supply chain, product life
cycle assessment (LCA), and product carbon footprint assessment (PCF) in various
industrial sectors. He has five years of industrial experience in textile manufacturing,
research and development and textile testing and over a decade’s of experience in
life cycle assessment (LCA), carbon and ecological footprints assessment of various
consumer products. He has published more than 100 research publications, written
numerous book chapters, and authored/edited over 100 books in the areas of carbon
footprint, recycling, environmental assessment, and environmental sustainability.
Prof.ShylaDel-Aguila-Arcentales is a professor researcher in Escuela de Posgrado,
Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola. She is also a master in Industrial Pharmacy at
Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Peru. Also, she is a pharmacist at the
