A series of Behningia tshernovae females from Khanka Lake was collected by
Dr. M.P. Tiunov in 1996 during the expedition of "Complex investigation of the
aquatic insects and fishes in the streams of the West Sikhote-Alin range" which was
supported by the Russian Fund of Fundamental Investigations (grant N 96-04-
63037). Material is deposited in the collection of the Institute of Biology and
Pedology, Far Eastern Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences (Vladivostok). This
work was supported by the Russian Fund of Fundamental Investigations (grant N
96-04-50388).
Behningia tshernovae Edmunds et Traver, 1959
MATERIAL (9♀). Russia, Primorskii krai, Khankaiskii Reserve, Khanka Lake,
17.VII 1996 (M.Tiunov).
REMARKS. Rear species, few specimens were known only from low part of
Amur River [1-3]. Genus Behningia Lestage, 1929 firstly recorded from Primorskii
krai.
DISTRIBUTION. Russia, Khabarovskii krai: Amur River; Primorskii krai (new
record): Khanka Lake.
