Ritorno difficile, segnato dalla sofferenza del vissuto personale ma anche dall'indifferenza dell'Italia del primo dopoguerra. Una sofferenza che verrà mitigata solo dall'affetto di una nuova famiglia e dal ruolo di testimone che Liliana assumerà negli anni successivi, soprattutto nei confronti dei giovani, simbolo di un futuro di speranza.</p>
