Abstract Sixteenspeciesofcerambycinelongicornbeetlesareexaminedfortheir
femalereproductiveorgans. They represent15generaof5 tribes (Methiini through
Ca11idiopini). Though diverse, theyare fundamentally similar to oneanother, with
theexceptionofCo''11ls1'atesta(,ea.
In thesecondpart of thisseriesof papers, five tribesof thesubfamily Ceram-
bycinaewill be taken up. Threegeneraeachofthe tribes Methiini, Hesperophanini
andCerambycini, 2subgeneraofA//of・faeusofthePhoracanthini,and5generaofthe
Ca11idiopiniareexaminedfortheir femalereproductiveorgans. Theywillbedescribed
and illustrated.
ThearrangementofthetribesandgeneramainlyfollowsthatadoptedbyKusAMA
and TAKAKUwA (1984), though there arecertain generawhose trueaffinity can be
disputed. For instance, Comusla, currently placed in the Methiini, is considerably
different fromothergeneraofthetribe. Suchcaseswill becriticallyexamined in the
''Discussion'' tobegivenattheendoftheCerambycinaesection.
