Relevant Experience:
Research : I have been involved in research activities for more than twenty years concerning
simulation based investigation of computer data and voice communication over
Cellular Radio (specifically GSM) as well as Fixed Terrestrial Networks and
particularly in packet based protocol development for RTI/IVHS (Road Traffic

Informatics and Intelligent Vehicle Highway Systems) related data
communication and performance analysis. For system modelling I have been
using C, C++, SIMSCRIPT-II.5, NS-2, and QualNet extensively. I have
comprehensive knowledge on data-communication and telecommunication
networks, OSI and TCP/IP protocols for computer communication.
As a part of my present employment I am also directly involved with research
activities in my institution and also supervise PhD and M.Sc. thesis students in the
area of Cellular mobile network, Computer data network, Ad-hoc network, Sensor
Network and Intelligent Vehicle-Hiway Systems (IVHS).
During my M.Sc. degree I was involved in investigating and developing a small
scale Local Area Network (LAN) for micro-computers. My Ph.D. research
involved analysis and development of a packet based data-link protocol for
RTI/IVHS applications and cellular based mobile location tracking.

In my previous employment I was involved in taking courses concerning
computer programming, analogue and digital telecommunications, analogue and
digital electronics, and corresponding labs. I was also involved in teaching
courses on “Data Structures and Algorithms” using C/C++ and Pascal
programming languages.
During 1995 to 1999 I used to give lectures regularly for the Bachelors and
Masters level as an adjunct and guest faculty member in different national and
private universities such as:
