and University of California, Berkeley. She is the author of Descartes’s Concept of Mind and
co-editorofFeministReflectionsontheHistoryofPhilosophy.
Deborah Brown is Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Queensland.
Her research has focused on early modern philosophy, philosophy of mind and metaphysics,
and she is currently working on Descartes’s ontology of everyday life. She is the author of
