Graag zou ik de mensen die hun steentje hebben bijgedragen bedanken, want zonder hen
zou dit werk niet zijn wat het nu is.
Vooreerst gaat mijn dank uit naar mijn thesisbegeleiders, drs. Ruben Verstraeten en drs.
Tiemen Strobbe, hen wil ik bedanken voor de grote hoeveelheid tijd en energie die ze
in mij en dit werk stopten, voor hun geduld met mij wanneer ik kwam aankloppen met
het zoveelste programmeerprobleem. In deze druk ik ook mijn dankbaarheid uit voor de
commentaren en suggesties van dr. Pieter Pauwels. Tevens wens ik mijn promotor, prof.
dr. Ronald De Meyer, te bedanken voor het vertrouwen en de geboden kans. Verder wens

Samenvatting
Onderhavige thesis probeert een oplossing te bieden voor de integratie van de structuur-
analyse in het architecturaal schetsontwerp. Dit wordt bekomen door een theoretisch
studie en de ontwikkeling van een prototype. Hoofdstuk 2 vertrekt van de analyse van de
ontwerpfasen (§1),om te eindigen met de ontwerpprogramma’s (§2). Hoofdstuk 3 behan-
delt de evaluatie van bestaande structuuranalyse-programma’s. Gebaseerd op de bevin-
dingen uit voorgaande hoofdstukken wordt er een prototype ontwikkeld in hoofdstuk 4.
Hoofdstuk 5 bevat de handleiding bij dit prototype.
