airBaltic recently set a new world record: the
turnaround time for the inaugural commercial
flight of the latest addition to our fleet, already
our sixth Bombardier CS300 aircraft, was done in
only 50 minutes. After that achievement, a seventh
Bombardier CS300 joined our fleet last month. Now
with seven new aircraft, most of our guests will be
able to enjoy the most modern jet aircraft.
We are growing our network not only in Riga but
in Tallinn and Vilnius as well. Currently we serve 11
direct connections from the other two Baltic capitals,
and the number of passengers served in Lithuania
and Estonia has increased by 28% during the first six
months of 2017. We have a tremendous responsibility
in bringing the Baltics to the world and offering better
connectivity to the six million people living here.
While we still hope to experience a warm and
sunny autumn this year, we have already announced
our plans for next year. In summer 2018 airBaltic will
introduce flights to Málaga, Lisbon, Split, Bordeaux,
and Gdansk, and more exciting news is in the pipeline.
