ABOUT THE BOOK
This little precious book is written and designed by two Canadian-Russian girls, who have
spent the last several years drawing, playing, and experimenting with a new form of art,
called Doodle Art.
In the book, we have used mostly our own pictures and some of the amazing art works
created by the most talented members of our lovely Doodle Art Club
(http://doodleartclub.com).
While writing this book, we pledged to bring you the following:
- Guide you through the Doodle Art world with our full set of lessons, starting from Basic
lessons through Intermediate and Advanced to the Expert ones.
- Teach you basic concepts of doodling, so you could create your own masterpieces.
- Give you many step-by-step instructions of simple and advanced patterns that you may

WHAT IS DOODLE ART?
Doodle Art is a relatively new form of art. It is a creative process that combines drawing
and relaxation. Often described as yoga for the mind, it is a type of sketching that is
suitable for everybody, even those who are not artistic or who have not done any kind of
drawing for years.
In short, this is a process of creation and recreation of multiple repeating patterns and
filling space with these patterns, combining them into various shapes and figures.
Doodle Art has rapidly increased in popularity over a relatively short time, and this is
thought to be because it is incredibly easy and reaches out and changes many people’s
lives. Everybody has inner creativity that has been lost amongst the hustle and bustle of
everyday life. The small part of us that provides balance and calm, and releases our
creative side, is smothered and in risk of dying completely. Doodle Art has reawakened
this long forgotten trait, releasing an incredibly powerful well-being that has enriched
many lives.
The concept of Doodle Art is very simple. It requires only a few materials, and there are
no strict rules. Just take a pen and create whatever is on your mind. The Doodle Art
method of creating patterns and recreating them is simple enough for all ages to follow.
