Has GodloweredHis standards?No,Heis stillperfectly holy.Heddddiiiiddddrememberall our
sins- 2,000yearsago at thecross.Everysin which wehave committed orwill commit
hasbeenpunishedto thefullin thebodyofJesusChristat thecross.That is whytoday,
Godremembersoursinsno more.We should,therefore,notbe sin-conscious.
Eachtime wefall into sin,Godwantsusto rememberthecrossandsay,"LordJesus,you

Ifyoudon'tlook tothe cross,youwill becomesin-consciousandyouwill walkaround
witha certain expectation ofjudgment. Andthatexpectation ofjudgmentwill give the

action.This meansthatonce youareabeliever,thebloodofJesusChristkeepson

So youcan restknowingthatyouarealwaysforgivenin thiscontinuous"washcycle"of
Jesus'blood.Becauseyouarecontinually cleansed,youarealwaysin thelight. Ofcourse,
youwill failhereandthere,butyouarestill inthe lightbecausethebloodis continuously

Youarenotrighteousbecauseofhowmorallyuprightyouare.Youarenotrighteous
becauseyouexerciseself-control.Youarenotrighteousbecauseyouread10chapters of
theBible daily. Youarenotrighteousbecauseyoufeelrighteous.Butyouarethe very
righteousnessofGodinChristsolelybecausethe sacrificeofJesusmade youso.When
youbelieve this, yourfaith is accountedforrighteousness.
Andthis is what Godwantsyouto useyourfaith for.Ifyouarerighteousbyyourdeeds,
youdon'tneedfaith. Youalso don'tneedfaith toknowthatyouaresinful.Butyouneed
faith to believe anddeclare thatyouaretherighteousnessofGod inChrist,in themidst
ofyourstruggles withtemptation andsin.
Forexample,whenyoufeellousybecauseyouhavejustshoutedat yourwife,Godwants
youto exerciseyourfaith to seeyourselfas stillrighteousin themidstofthatfailure.
This living revelationthatyouarestill righteouswill give youthestrength tolove your
wifeandreconcilethings withher.
Thedevilmayremindyouofyourfoultemper andquestionyourintegrity: "Howdare
youcall yourself righteouswhenyoujustdidthat!" Justignorehis lies andboldly declare,
"Iam notrighteousbecauseofwhatI havedoneornotdone.I am righteousonly

Some Christians believe thattheyhave toworkat becoming morerighteous.Andthey
kick themselveswhenthey dowrong.Theydon'trealize thatby doingthesethings, they
arenotseekingGod'srighteousness,but aretrying toestablishtheiroooowwwwnnnnrighteousness
by theirlaw-keeping andrightconduct.
Righteousnessisnotabout rightconduct.Itis a giftfromGodto usthroughJesus.And
since it is agift, wecannot earnit by ourlaw-keeping andrightconduct. Wecan only
receiveit!
Howdowereceivethisgift? Wereceiveit through thecross.GodmadeJesus"whoknew
nosin tobe sinforusthatwemightbecometherighteousnessofGodin Him".So today,
wearetherighteousnessofGodin Christ.We areasrighteousas Jesusis!
Butsome ofusthinkthatin thebodyofChrist,therearedifferentclassesof
righteousness,like theseating classesinan airplane. Theythink thatsomeofushave
economy-classrighteousness,othershavebusiness-classrighteousnessanda selectfew
havefirst-classrighteousness.
That is nonsense!WhenGodgave usJesus,Hebecameourrighteousness.So wehave
HHHHiiiissssrighteousness.This means thatweare100 percentrighteousin God'seyes!We
cannot buthave first-classrighteousness!
Youmightsay,"PastorPrince,I don'tunderstand.Howcan I berighteouswhenI have
donewrong?"Think aboutthis: Jesus,whoknewnosin, becamesinforus.Jesusknew
nosin, didno sinandin Him wasnosin.But at thecross,Hereceivedoursin and
becamesin forus.
Likewise,we,whowere sinners,knewnorighteousness,didnorighteousnessand inus
wasnorighteousness. Butat thecross,wereceivedHisrighteousnessandbecamethe
righteousnessofGodinChristJesus.
Atthecross,the divineexchange tookplace.Jesustookourplace sothatwemighttake
His place. Hedidnotdeservetobe madesin, butHewasmadesinin ourplace.Wedid
notdeserve tobe maderighteous,butweweremaderighteousbecausewereceivedHis

worksto works.
Thegoodnewsis notpreachedto showyouwhatis wrongwith you.Itis preachedto

Thereisnothing left foryoutodoto earnGod'sblessings foryourlife. Youonlyneedto
