Als sie am Tag darauf das Konzert gibt, ergreift etwas Fremdes von ihr Besitz. Sie ist nicht mehr Herr ihrer selbst. Ihre Finger gehorchen ihr nicht. Obwohl sie sich verzweifelt dagegen wehrt, spielt sie die kurze Sinfonie, die sie in der Nacht zuvor gehört hat. <br>Die Callisons starren sie entsetzt an. Mrs. Callison bricht bewußtlos zusammen. Pamela erfährt, dass diese Sinfonie von Dinah, der verschwundenen Tochter der Familie, komponiert worden ist. Seit zehn Jahren ist ihr Schicksal ungeklärt.<br>Mrs. Callison bittet Pamela, für längere Zeit auf Windhaven zu bleiben, weil sie hofft, Pamelas mediale Gabe könnte ihr helfen, Licht ins Dunkel zu bringen.
