perfectlysynchronizedplayoutacrossdifferentaudiochannels,devicesandnetworks,evenovermultiple
switchhops.
Dantemakesnetworkingatrueplug-and-playprocess,allowingautomaticdevicediscoveryandsystem
configuration.Dante-enableddeviceswillautomaticallysetuptheirnetworkconfigurationandadvertise
themselvesandtheirchannelsonthenetwork,reducingcomplicated,error-proneset-upprocedures.
Insteadof‘magicnumbers’,networkeddevicesandtheirinputandoutputsignalscanbenamedtomake
sensetotheuser.
Danteisnotrestrictedtoallowingconfigurationandtransmissionofaudiochannels.Dantealsoprovides

DanteVirtualSoundcardisasoftwareapplicationthatturnsyourPCorMacintoaDante-enableddevice,
allowingDanteaudiotraffictobetransmittedandreceivedusingthestandardEthernetport.Noadditional
hardwareisrequired.
ThelatestversionofDanteVirtualSoundcardsupportstheCoreAudio(MacOS X),SteinbergASIO
