In the last decades, there has been a considerable extension of movements<br><br> facing climate change in all Europe, together with the growing visibility of<br><br> this topic in the public debate. Especially in Padova, a transversal net was<br><br> born including committees, local groups and single citizens which have been<br><br> fighting for the climate justice in Veneto. Recognising social representations<br><br> role in building the group identity, to give it shared frames, to lead the action<br><br> with meaning, the authors study the social representations of the climate change through the activists of the net considering their roles to rise together and<br><br> change the status quo. Using textual analysis of the contents of the first public meeting of the net in Padova on the 8th of December 2018 and thematic<br><br> analysis of 15 interviews to activists, authors bought out macro and micro<br><br> social representations of the phenomenon, which are a mirror of the global<br><br> and local meaning. The intersection of those dimensions, together with an<br><br> environmental knowledge recognised by the local net, can be considered as an<br><br> essential instrument of defence for the climate justice as a form of empowerment, oriented by shared social representations.</br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br>
