HCHS Freshmen win 3rd straight district title

The district tournament was hosted by Nicholas
County and the first-year Bluejackets were the first
opponent for the young Thorobreds.
This was the second meeting for the two teams this
season.
On Thursday night, the young Harrison County
boys featured a balanced attack to lead for the entire
game.
Zack Pulliam with 14 and Brian Davis with 10 led
the Harrison County scoring. For the game, 10 of the
14 Harrison County players scored.
After a brief rest the Harrison County squad faced
off with the freshmen of Pendleton County.
The Wildcats owned an early season victory over
Harrison County, which was a great incentive for the
first-year Breds.
Dr. Stephen Moses’ team showed great determina-
tion, especially on defense, as they used a full-court
man-to-man to force several turnovers.
Harrison County raced out to 20 points in the first
quarter and led 34-20 at the half.
The domination continued in the second half as
again all 14 players contributed to the success.
The final score was 68-39 with Brock Jenkins and
Pulliam each scoring 19 points. The freshman Breds DISTRICT CHAMPS Harrison County freshman basketball team claimed the district title this year. Team mem-
