For our March meeting , we attended a UFO Symposium in
Bradford. The particulars of this ·follow.
The minutes of April's meeting follow , as recorded by Stefan
Szpular.
The guest speaker for the May meeting was Anna Mitchell
Hedges , with her Crystal Skull.
She showed us slides , explaining how , in 1920 , in Lub aatun ,
an ancient Mayan village in Belize , she found the Skull. I have
attached newspaper articles pertaining to the Skull, which goes
into more detail.
Anna gave us a very descriptive storey surrounding the
discovery:
-father was looking for Atlantis , believed it was in British
Honduras.
-took 6 weeks to get to destination , through jungle.
-trees poisionous , Lubaantun had to be burned - was there 1920-1927.
-took 4 years to clear the site.
-Lady Richiband , helping , had cancer, given '2 months to live , lived
to 1948, with help of Manyan herbal medicine.
-found many b�autiful jade artifacts , placed them in British Museum.
-Mayans say they are descendants of Atlantians.
-found sacrifice stones throughout jungle.
..
-erected tent on crocodile nest, found out when mother crocodile

came back to nest , rather frightening , to say the least.
-four other skulls found in South America , skulls similar.
-Mayans said took 150 years to make the skull, was worked on for
four generations.
-made from local crystal mine.
-skull was given to Frederck Albert Mitchell Hedges on leaving
Lubaantun in 1927.
-1948-1951 Anna was in South Africa and lived with the Zulus.
-Anna lived in castle for 4 years , had 36 rooms , had 7 tunnels in
which king of gypsies brought his loot.
-they found 3 Henry Morgan's chests with gold coins , this financed
their archeological expeditions, for quite some time.
-Anna held record for largest shark ever caught , 1,250 pounds.
-Anna was born in 1907, she is 87 years old.
-skull is going to be kept in the family , her family is in New Jersey ,
Canada and France.
-the skull will be moved around where needed.
-aft er war went into antique silver business.
-museums want to purchase skull.
-her father wrote several books which are now out of print , but
are still available in Salsbury , England - Land of Wonder and Fear,
White Tiger, are a couple of the books.
-father died in Devonshire , England , in 1959.
Anna Mitchell Hedges has lived the most fascinating and adventurous
life. Our lives appear dull compared to what she has been through
and has experienced.
