Throughout this book you’ll learn the basics of self-publishing a book through
Amazon’s free publishing platform: CreateSpace.
Aspiring authors are everywhere, but the idea of getting published is sometimes
such a daunting task that many people don’t even write their book, let alone
publish it.
CreateSpace is a platform to publish your paperback absolutely free!
While there are some optional costs you can choose to do, you could potentially
publish a book and literally spend no money. Zero. Zilch. Nada.
The only optional expenses are purchasing a paperback copy of your proof
(generally only a few bucks with shipping) and doing the expanded distribution
($25).
With costs like that, there’s really no risk!
The quality of the finished books with CreateSpace is very professional and
certainly up to standard publishing grade.
This book tackles the basics of publishing with CreateSpace. You’ll learn how to
get a free ISBN with CreateSpace, format your book’s interior properly in
Microsoft Word as well as how to create your book cover - either a basic one
using CreateSpace’s built in system, or a little more advanced version with
Photoshop (or a similar program).
Don’t worry, if you’re truly having trouble with your cover, you can always hire
a designer to help you out!
