Alkhard Ahmed Mohammed (Ph.D., University of Florida, USA)
received the Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering—Construction Engi-
neering & Management from University of Florida. After obtaining
his Ph.D. degree, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor at the
Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in King Abdul
Aziz University. In addition to his academic career, he is acting as a
general director for construction projects taking place at King Abdulaziz
University. Also, he is a Project Advisor at Wadi Jeddah Company. His
research interests include several subjects: Construction Safety, Quality,
Sustainability, and Conflict Resolution.
Andriano-Moore Stephen (Ph.D., University of Nottingham, UK) has
lived in China since 2012 when he began teaching communication and
cultural studies at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China. He is
a Research Fellow in the Institute of Asia Pacific Studies, the Centre
for Contemporary East Asian Cultural Studies, and a member of the
International Association for Media and Communication Research. He
is both a Research Fellow in the Institute of Mobile Studies and the
Leader for the Mobile Audio Storytelling Project. Dr. Andriano-Moore’s
primary research focuses on the issues, conditions, and politics of labor in
the media industries. He has applied his expertise in the study of work
cultures and institutions to the area of mobile health studies. He has
supervised and conducted research on health issues in China including
patient experiences of the integration of WeChat into the patient-hospital

and patient-doctor relationship, the use of WeChat for pre-diabetic treat-
ment and weight loss, and the use of WeChat in public and private
hospital promotion. Having stayed in Ningbo during the COVID-19
pandemic, he experienced first-hand China’s usage of mobile devices and
applications in their efforts to contain the outbreak.
Cai Yimeng (M.A., University of Nottingham Ningbo China) is an
alumna of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China where she earned
a Master of Arts in International Communications from the School of
International Communications in the year 2019. She is employed in
the Publicity Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou
University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Chen Zhen Troy (Ph.D., University of Nottingham, UK), FHEA, is a
Senior Lecturer in Digital Advertising, London College of Communi-
cation, University of the Arts London. He is also an Adjunct Research
Fellow of the Griffith Centre for Design and Innovation Research at Grif-
fith University, Cold Coast campus. His research interests are in digital
media and advertising, cultural and creative industries, cultural and media
policy (copyright), journalism, and experience design. His research papers
have appeared in Journal of Consumer Culture, Ethics and Information
Technology, Social Semiotics, Asian Journal of Women’s Studies ,andG lobal
Media and China. He also contributed his book chapters published by
Bloomsbury Academic, Palgrave, and Routledge. His monograph, enti-
tled China’s music industry unplugged: Business models, copyright and
social entrepreneurship in the online platform economy, is to be published
by Palgrave Macmillan in 2021.
Huang Ranna (M.A., University of Sydney, Australia) is a Ph.D. candi-
date at University of Nottingham Ningbo China. Her research interests
include comparative studies of media systems, journalism studies, and
public relations studies. The title of her thesis is A new framework of
comparing hybrid media systems in the digital age: a case study of legacy
media system and social media system in China.
Ji Chenxiang Elaine (M.A., Loughborough University, UK) is a Lecturer
in Financial Journalism at the School of Public Finance and Taxation,
Zhejiang University of Finance & Economics. Her academic interests lie
in issues of power, gender, and economic geography, and on the role
of mobile in general, m-commerce in particular, in the achievement of
goals ranging from socio-economic development, human well-being and

empowerment, and societal change. She is a Ph.D. student at Univer-
sity of Nottingham Ningbo China and a member of Institute for Mobile
Studies. She received M.A. with distinction in Global Media and Cultural
Industries from Loughborough University, UK and B.A. in Business
from University of Hull, UK. Her research interests include new media,
cultural and creative industries, financial news reporting, and the use of
information and communication technologies (ICTs) in socio-economic
development. She is the author of Analysis of Fan Movies from Media
Sociology Perspective (2018), The political impacts of social media in the
view of Long Tail Theory: the case study of American presidential election
in year 2016 (2018), Exploring the content production and operation
strategy of WeChat Official Account in financial & economics field: a case
study (2018), and A study of ‘cyber celebrity reporter + live webcast’
model implemented by Zhejiang Daily Press Group (2017).
Jiang Yangyang (Ph.D., Monash University, Australia) is an Associate
Professor of Marketing at University of Nottingham Ningbo China and
Fellow of Higher Education Academy. She gained her Bachelor’s degree
and Master’s degree at Renmin University of China, and her Ph.D. degree
at Monash University, Australia. Her research work has appeared in the
Journal of Travel Research, Journal of Business Research, International
Journal of Hospitality Management, International Journal of Contem-
porary Hospitality Management, Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, Tourism
Analysis, among others. She has worked for four Olympic Games as a
Global Hospitality Program staff member of the Coca-Cola Company.
She teaches multiple subjects in marketing management and digital
marketing.
Kapogiannis Georgios (Ph.D., University of Salford, UK) is an
international, certified, innovative, recognized multi-award winner and
result-driven transformational leader, academic, and researcher in the
transdisciplinary domain of Digital Innovation and Project Manage-
ment in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction sector. His work
has been recognized and published in world international leading Jour-
nals, Books, and Conferences Internationally. During his career he won
several prestigious National and International Awards and Prizes related
to Innovation in Construction and recognized for his contributions
in Zhejiang Province, China with the Prize of “Cultural Ambassador”
during COVID-19 period as well as he has a patent that its status is
pending in China. Currently, a Visiting Professor (research) in Digital

Transformation at the Ningbo Institute for Supply Chain Management
| MIT Global SCALE in China while is an Associate Professor at Oryx
Universal College in Partnership with Liverpool John Moores Univer-
sity (UK). He is a Fellow of the Higher Academy in the UK and
possesses a Ph.D. in Construction and Project Management. Moreover,
he has experience in complex and international digital built environment
and engineering projects notably in China, Indonesia, Greece, Oman,
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the UK for world leading private, public,
and non-governmental organizations.
Liu Nancy Xiuzhi (Ph.D., University of Nottingham, UK) joined the
University of Nottingham Ningbo in 2008. Prior to that, she taught
at Beijing University of Technology as Associate Professor (Head of
Department between 2007 and 2008). Upon joining the university,
she set up the M.A. Programme in Translation and Interpreting from
scratch together with colleagues and acted as coordinator of the program
from 2008 to 2014. Her research interest mainly focuses on sociocul-
tural meanings of translation, media translation studies in particular. She
has published extensively in areas such as media, mobile and cultural
studies. Her newly published book in 2019 News Framing through
English-Chinese Translation: A comparative study of Chinese and English
media discourse by Routledge. She has put forward a new model named
transframing by incorporating framing in journalism with translation
studies. She is also interested in didactic research into translation and
interpreting while being a practitioner in translation and conference inter-
preting. She is a reviewer for Routledge book proposals and journals such
as Perspectives: Studies in Translation Theory and Practice and Language
and Intercultural Communication.
Liu Yusi (Ph.D., Tsinghua University, China) is Associate Professor
at College of Media and International Culture of Zhejiang University.
She earned her Ph.D. degree in communication from the School of
Journalism and Communication of Tsinghua University in July 2013.
She was a visiting scholar in the Laboratory of Science of Networks
in Communities (SONIC) of Northwestern University from March to
September 2012. Her research interests include communication tech-
nology and society, media and collective memory, and science communi-
cation. Her work has been published on Journalism and Communication
(in Chinese), Journal of International Communication (in Chinese), the
annual conference of ICA and AEJMC, etc. Also, her research paper
