About the Editors
Jitendra Kumar is currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical
Engineering, National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, India. He received his
B.Tech.fromIMSEngineeringCollege,Ghaziabad,India,in2009,M.Tech.fromthe
NationalInstituteofTechnologyKurukshetra,Kurukshetra,in2011,andthePh.D.
degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee,
India,in2017.Hehasover4yearsofteachingexperienceandtaughtsubjectslike
powersystem,advancedpowersystem,controlsystem,controlandinstrumentation,
power system operation, and control, signal and system, power system protection,
circuit and network theory. He has many papers in reputed journals. His research
areasarepowersystemprotectionandrestructuring,protectionalgorithmsdesignin
smart grid and microgrid environment, design of protection algorithms in FACTS
environment.
Manoj Tripathy received his B.E. degree in electrical engineering from Nagpur
University,Nagpur,India,in1999,theM.Tech.degreeininstrumentationandcontrol
fromAligarhMuslimUniversity,in2002,andaPh.D.degreefromtheIndianInsti-
tuteofTechnologyRoorkee(IITRoorkee)in2008.HeiscurrentlyworkingasAsso-
ciateProfessorintheDepartmentofElectricalEngineering,IITRoorkee.Hisfields
of interest are wavelets, neural networks, optimization techniques, content-based
imageretrieval,digitalinstrumentation,digitalprotectiverelays,anddigitalspeech
processing.Heisareviewerforvariousinternationaljournalsintheareaofpower
systemsandspeech.
Premalata Jena is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical
Engineering,IITRoorkee.ShereceivedherB.Tech.degreeinelectricalengineering
fromtheUtkalUniversity,Bhubaneswar,India,in2001,theM.Tech.degreeinElec-
tricalEngineeringfromIITKharagpur,India,in2006,andaPh.D.degreefromIIT
Kharagpur,India,in2011.Shehassevenyearsofteachingexperience.SheisIEEE
MemberandINAE,YoungAssociate.ShereceivedmanyawardssuchastheWomen
Excellence Award and Early Carrier Research Award, SERB, DST, Gov. of India,
NewDelhi,INAEYoungEngineerAward,POSOCOPowerSystemAward,in2013.
