WhileinthepastdecadesthepervasivediffusionofanewparadigmbasedonICT
andautomationhasledtoadramatictransformationofthecompetitivechallenges
inalltheindustrializedandemergingeconomies,morerecentlythemassiveappli-
cationofAIandrobotstobothmanufacturingandserviceindustrieshasimplieda
newwaveofSchumpeterian“creativedestructions”acrossalleconomicsectors.
Inthisturmoil,mediaindustryiswithinthebulkofthetechnologicalrevolution
with the main digitalplayers (Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Apple, etc.) virtually
takingoverthesector.Moreover,togetherwithtechnologicalchangeonthesupply
side,newpatternsofconsumptionarealsodeeplymodifyingthedemandsideofthe
competitionstrugglewithintheindustry.
Inthiscontext,thisbookisavaluablecontributionforthreereasons.First—atthe
