JCC&BD 2019 was organized by the School of Computer Science of the National University of La Plata (UNLP). Since 2013, the Conference on Cloud Computing Conference & Big Data (JCC&BD) has been an annual meeting where ideas, projects, scientific results, and applications in the Cloud Computing & Big Data areas are exchanged and dissemi- nated. The conference focuses on the topics that allow interaction between the academy, industry, and other interested parts. JCC&BD2019coveredthefollowingtopics:cloud,edge,fog,accelerator,greenand mobile computing; cloud infrastructure and virtualization; data analytics, data intelligence, anddata visualization;machineanddeeplearning;andspecial topicsrelatedto emerging technologies. In addition, special activities were also carried out, including one plenary lecture, one discussion panel, and two post-graduate courses. In this edition, the conference received 31 submissions. All the accepted papers were peer-reviewed by three referees (single-blind review) and evaluated on the basis of technical quality, relevance, significance, and clarity. According to the recommen- dationsofthereviewers,12ofthemwereselectedforthisbook(39%acceptancerate). We hope readers will find these contributions useful and inspiring for their future research.
