We have spent thepast 8 months living, ivorking, playing, study- ing, eating, sleepingandjust being togetherin these close quarters called residence. Yet the question re- mains what is Residence? Well myfriends, we have come to the conclusion that Residence is more than 1995-1996 Close Quarters Carleton University Residence Frosh Week was our introduction to university life . . . and what an introduction it was! Stayin' Alive in 95 was a time formeetingpeople, building friendships and gettingto know thenewschoolturf. Webonded through Canal Games, Round Up, FennPubs, Airband, Mooney's Bay and Shinerama. The concept of sleep no longer existed and drinking became part of our daily life. STRUTS! SIDEBURNS! GROOVE TRAINS! GLITTERS! DANCING DIVAS! BARBORINOS! SOUL SIS- TERS! JIVE TALKERS! POLYESTERS! FUNKY TOWNS! STROBES! PLATFORMS! We all have a new appreciation for th 70s and none of us will be able to listen to ABBA again without getting teary-eyed. Yes, Frosh Week was an amazing time but it was only the beginning . . . Ready, aim, fire! Paintball, what a wayto getexercise. Bumps andbrui- ses were brought home by everyone but the only thingbroken was pride. Sports inRes!?! Youbet, and thebat- tles were best when floors partici- pated in grudge matches. This years participation and support showed that rezzies aren't all tunnel rats. 6 Residence Work off that Saga-Butt! . . .
