Mr. Michael Prudhomme, Chairman, Toronto and Regional Crime
Stoppers appeared before Council and outlined some
of the success stories which have resulted from the
Crime Stoppers Programme. The programme which
continues to grow throughout the world can now take
tips in 140 languages in this area. Two segments of
the Crime Stoppers video were shown.

viewpoint of airline pilots. They fully support the
proposed expansion. Some of the current hazards were

economic benefits which will result from the proposed
expansion.

Captain Ron Dennis, Director Flight Operations, Airside
Development, Air Canada listed the criteria for
accepting expansion and reported that they were all
met. He commented on the staff report and its limiting
stipulations and suggested necessary monitoring
measures.
