Thank you for giving us the ability to create our own to-
morrows. Thank you for the love and understanding you gave
usyesterday. Thankyoufor the loveyou willgive us todayand
tomorrow. You have helped us complete the first of the many
stagesoflife.Youasparents/guardianshavegivenusthewings
andselfassuranceweneedtogooutinto theworldandsucceed.
More than that you have let us see the world through our own
eyes and let us draw our own conclusions. Itprobably was not
alwayseasy to letusmakeourown decisions, butthatispartof
growingup,for both thechildand theparent.Byallowingusto
form our own opinions and make our own decisions, you have
given us the key to tomorrow.

! Theclass of1993 is thefirstclass togo through CarverHighSchool entirely, andalso tl
from thePlymouth/CarverRegionalprogram. ThisyearwewouldliketorecognizeMr.Erwin Washburnasoneof
thedrivingforces behind thedevelopmentofCarverHighSchool.In 1985,Mr. Washburnpushed thetown to build
their own high school and achieved itwhen the town brokeground in the winter of 1986. About two years later
Carver students began school atPlymouth South, and then after many years ofwaiting, Carver opened its own

high school inJanuary, 1988.
Since 1988, Mr. Washburn has seen tremendous spirit within the school, by its students. The school was
dedicated to Erwin Washburn in honor ofhis contributions to Carver and its students.

You are the first graduating class to have spent six years as Carver
HighSchoolstudents. Becauseyou are thefirst, watchingyougrowfrom
the seventh grade through your senior year has been a very special
experiencefor me.
You are also the lastclass tograduatefrom Carverasstudentswithin
thePlymouth/CarverRegionalSchoolDistrict.
Yourclasswas thereatthe beginning.RememberPlymouthSouth?
Youhadjustlearnedtofindalltherooms,andthenitwastimetomove
toourownschoolinCarver.Openingtwobrandnewschoolsinoneyearis
probablyan experienceshared byfew.
Remember,you helpeddecide thatwe would be the Crusaders(andnot
the Cobrasor the Cougars)?
You were there when thefirstsports teams took thefield. You saw the
firstvictories.1
No other class can claim to have such a rich history or to have helped
shapeschool traditionsanymore than your class.
