Welcome to the 39th Annual Canadian Red Roundup. Red Roundup is a prestigious
event that is a great marketing tool to showcase and broadcast the most elite and sought after
genetics in what has been called by many as “The World’s Premiere Red Angus Event”. Red
Roundup has been backed by the Canadian Red Angus Promotion Society and has escalated
into a must attend event for all Red Angus enthusiasts. The Roundup weekend has developed
into more than just an elite sale; it truly is an exciting 3-day event where a lot of business gets
done behind the scenes privately and/or for future sales. No other events in any other breed
can relate to the impact that this weekend has on its own breed; a true testament to all of the
hard work that the Red Angus breeders have put into this event for the past 39 years.

ing business to be in these days. We are starting to see record prices in the markets and bred
cow sales as the optimism throughout the whole industry is excellent. As the futures look
very good, we need to concentrate on providing our customers with marketable genetics that
will increase profits as the cattle markets continue to rise. There is no better weekend to find
marketable genetics from a broad group of progressive Red Angus breeders than in Red Deer
at Red Roundup.
The group of sale cattle has always been elite at Red Roundup and the 2011 edition is
no exception. We have been able to assemble genetics from across Canada and into USA from
the most distinguished Red Angus programs. The group of cattle selected are very functional,
