Mini-Santas are praised
for their festive spirit!
Councillors and council officers
visited Brynteg Comprehensive
School to thank pupils for their
annual ‘Santa Appeal’.
KIND-HEARTED pupils from
Brynteg Comprehensive School
in Bridgend have been praised
for the outstanding impact of
their annual ‘Santa Appeal’.
Each year, pupils become mini-Santas
by raising money to buy presents for
other children across the county
borough.
This year’s total of £4,000 was used to
buy presents for 127 local children and
donated to Bridgend County Borough
Council’s social services department.
The council’s deputy leader, Coun
Huw David, Coun Hailey Townsend, the
cabinet member for children’s social
services and equalities, and Laura
Kinsey, the council’s head of
safeguarding and assessment, all visited
the school to thank the children.
Coun Townsend said: “For 21 years,
