Ihre Berufung hat sie nun gefunden, aber ihre Sehnsucht nach Arthur ist drangender denn je … Die osterreichische Pazifistin, Friedensforscherin und Schriftstellerin Bertha von Suttner (1843-1914): wurde 1905 als erste Frau mit dem Friedensnobelpreis ausgezeichnet.Ihr Leben lang fuhrte Bertha von Suttner den scheinbar aussichtslosen Kampf fur Abrustung und Frieden. In Briefen ermutigte sie ihren Freund Alfred Nobel unermudlich, eine Stiftung fur den Frieden zu grunden, was er in seinem Testament tatsachlich festlegte. Bertha von Suttner allerdings wurde gegen Nobels Willen zunachst nicht ausgezeichnet. Erst 1905 erhielt sie den Friedensnobelpreis fur ihr Werk >>Die Waffen nieder!<
