Foralargemajorityofcompanies,thevalueofdataisnolongerindoubt.Calculating
an application’s usage rates,measuring the time spent on social networks, or even
analyzing its usage are now some of the best practices accepted and implemented
bythemostsignificantnumber.Butwhilecompaniesunderstandtheimportanceof
collectingandanalyzingtheirdata,fewknowhowtoprocessanduseit.However,
knowinghowtousethisdataisaprerequisiteforintegratingArtificialIntelligence
intoitsproductsandservices.
It is worth noting that technologies such as Artificial intelligence and Big Data
are evolving even faster. They are rapidly growing by holding great promise for
manysectors.Therealrevolutionarypotentialofthesetechnologiesmainlyrelieson
theirconvergence.BigDataandArtificialIntelligencearetwotechnologiesthatare
inextricably linked, to the point that we can think about Big Data Intelligence. AI
hasbecomeubiquitousinmanyindustrieswhereintelligentprogramsrelyingonbig
datatransformdecision-making.Increasedagility,smarterbusinessprocesses,and
betterproductivityarethemostlikelybenefitsofthisconvergence.
Bigdata,whichisstillpoorlyexploited,isneverthelesstheblackgoldofAI.Arti-
ficialIntelligenceisthelogicalcontinuationofourdataanalysismethodsandtech-
niques,anextensionofBusinessIntelligence,followedbyBigDataandAdvanced

About the Editors
Youssef Baddi is a full-time Assistant Professor at Chouaïb Doukkali University
UCDELJadida,Morocco.Ph.D.ThesisdegreeincomputersciencefromENSIAS
School,UniversityMohammedV.SouissiofRabat,Morocco,since2016.Healso
holds a Research Master’s degree in networking obtained in 2010 from the High
NationalSchoolforComputerScienceandSystemsAnalysis—ENSIAS-Morocco-
Rabat. He is a member of the Laboratory of Information and Communication
Sciences and Technologies STIC Lab, since 2017. He is a guest member of the
InformationSecurityResearchTeam(ISeRT),andInnovationonDigitalandEnter-
prise Architectures Team, ENSIAS, Rabat, Morocco. Dr. Baddi was awarded as
the best Ph.D. student in University Mohammed V. Souissi of Rabat in 2013. Dr.
Baddi has made contributions in the fields of Group Communications and proto-
cols, information security and privacy, Software-defined network, the Internet of
Things,MobileandWirelessNetworksSecurity,MobileIPv6.Hisresearchinterests
include Information Security and Privacy, the Internet of Things, Networks Secu-
