BEAUTIFUL YET SIMPLE
SUPPLICATIONS
1. Supplications from the Qur’an
رِانَّلا بَ اذَ عَ انَقِوَ ةًنَسَ حَ ةِرَ خِ لآا يفِوَ ةًنَسَ حَ ايَنْدُّلا يفِ انَتِآ انَبَّرَ
“Our Lord, give us in this world that which is good and
in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from
the punishment of the Fire!” (2:201)
ارً صْ اِ انَيْلَعَ لْ مِ حْ تَ لاَ وَ انَبَّرَ انَاْطَ خْ اَ وْ اَ انَيسِ نَّ ناِ انَذْ خِ اؤَتُ لاَ انَبَّرَ
ةَقَاطَ لاَ امَ انَلْمِّ حَ تُ لاَ وَ انَبَّرَ انَلِبْقَ نمِ نَ يذِلَّا ىلَعَ هُتَلْمَ حَ امَ كَ
ىلَعَ انَرْ صُ نافَ انَلاَ ؤْمَ تَ ناَ انَمْ حَ رْ اوَ انَلَ رْ فِغْ اوَ انَّعَ فُ عْ اوَ هِبِ انَلَ
نَ يرِفِاكَ لْا مِ ؤْقَ لْا
“Our Lord, punish us not if we forget or fall into error.
Our Lord, lay not on us a burden like that which You
did lay on those before us. Our Lord, put not on us a
burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon
us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You
are our Mawlā (Patron, Supporter and Protector), so
give us victory over the disbelieving people.” (2:286)

كَ نَّاِ ةًمَ حْ رَ كَ ندُ لَّ نمِ انَلَ بْ هَ وَ انَتَيْ دَ هَ ذْ اِ دَ عْ بَ انَبَؤلُقُ غْ زِ تُ لاَ انَبَّرَ
بُ اهَّ ؤَ لْا تَ ناَ
“Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate [from the truth]
after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from
Youself. Truly, You are the Bestower.” (3:8)
رِانَّلا بَ اذَ عَ انَقِوَ انَبَؤنُذُ انَلَ رْ فِغْ افَ انَّمَ آ انَنَّاِ انَبَّرَ
“Our Lord, we have indeed believed, so forgive us our
sins and save us from the punishment of the Fire.”
(3:16)
ءاعَ دُّلا عُ يمِ سَ كَ نَّاِ ةًبَيِّطَ ةًيَّ رِّذُ كَ نْدُ لَّ نمِ يلِ بْ هَ بِّ رَ
“O my Lord, grant me from Your grace, a good offspring.
You are indeed the All-Hearer of invocation.” (3:38)
نَ يدِهِ اشَّ لا عَ مَ انَبْتُكْ افَ لَ ؤسُ رَّ لا انَعْ بَتَّاوَ تَ لْزَ ناَ امَ بِ انَّمَ آ انَبَّرَ
“Our Lord, we believe in what You have sent down,
and we follow the Messenger, so write us down among
those who bear witness.” (3:53)
نَ مِ نَّ نَؤكُ نَلَ انَمْ حَ رْ تَوَ انَلَ رْ فِغْ تَ مْ لَّ ناِوَ انَسَ فُ ناَ انَمْ لَظَ انَبَّرَ
نَ يرِسِ اخَ لْا
“Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves. If You forgive
us not, and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall

certainly be of the losers.” (7:23)
نَ يمِ لِاظَّ لا مِ ؤْقَ لْا عَ مَ انَلْعَ جْ تَ لاَ انَبَّرَ
“Our Lord, place us not with the wrongdoers,
polytheists and oppressors.” (7:47)
مِ ؤْقَ لْا نَ مِ كَ تِمَ حْ رَ بِ انَجِّ نَوَ نَ يمِ لِاظَّ لا مِ ؤْقَ لْلِّ ةًنَتْفِ انَلْعَ جْ تَ لاَ انَبَّرَ
نَ يرِفِاكَ لْا
“Our Lord, make us not a trial for the wrongdoers. And
save us by Your Mercy, from the disbelieving people.”
(10:85-86)
مِ يظِ عَ لْا شِ رْ عَ لْا بُّ رَ ؤَ هُ وَ تُ لْكَّ ؤَ تَ هِيْلَعَ ؤَ هُ لاَّ اِ هَ ـلَاِ لا هُلّلا يَ بِسْ حَ
“Allāh is sufficient for me. None has the right to be
worshipped but He. In Him I put my trust and He
is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.” (9:129)
نَ يمِ لِسْ مُ انَفَّؤَ تَوَ ارً بْصَ انَيْلَعَ غْ رِ فْاَ انَبَّرَ
“Our Lord, pour out on us patience, and cause us to die
as Muslims.” (7:126)
ءاعَ دُ لْ بَّقَ تَوَ انَبَّرَ يتِيَّ رِّذُ نمِوَ ةِلاَ صَّ لا مَ يقِمُ ينِلْعَ جْ ا بِّ رَ
“O my Lord, make me one who performs daily prayers
(Salāh) and also my offspring. Our Lord, accept my

invocation.” (14:40)
بُ اسَ حِ لْا مُ ؤقُ يَ مَ ؤْيَ نَ ينِمِؤْ مُ لْلِوَ يَّ دَ لِاؤَلِوَ يلِ رْ فِغْ ا انَبَّرَ
“Our Lord, forgive me and my parents, and all the
believers on the Day when the reckoning will be
established.” (14:41)
يلِ رْ فِغْ تَ لاَّ اِوَ مٌ لْعِ هِبِ يلِ سَ يْلَ امَ كَ لَاَسْ اَ نْ اَ كَ بِ ذُؤعُ اَ ينِّاِ بِّ رَ
نَ يرِسِ اخَ لْا نَ مِّ نكُ اَ ينِمْ حَ رْ تَوَ
“O my Lord, I seek refuge with You from asking You
that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You
forgive me and have Mercy on me, I would indeed be
one of the losers.” (11:47)
نَ ينِمِؤْ مُ لْلِوَ انًمِؤْ مُ يَ تِيْبَ لَ خَ دَ نمَ لِوَ يَّ دَ لِاؤَلِوَ يلِ رْ فِغْ ا بِّ رَّ
تِ انَمِؤْ مُ لْاوَ
“My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever
enters my house as a believer, and forgive the believing
men and believing women.” (71:28)
ينِاسَ لِّ نمِّ ةًدَ قْ عُ لْ لُحْ اوَ يرِمْ اَ يلِ رْ سِّ يَ وَ يرِدْ صَ يلِ حْ رَ شْ ا بِّ رَ
يلِؤْقَ اؤهُ قَ فْ يَ
“O my Lord, open for me my chest and ease my task
for me. Make loose the knot from my tongue that they

understand my speech.” (20:25-28)
امً لْعِ ينِدْ زِ بِّ رَّ
“My Lord, increase me in knowledge.” (20:114)
2. Supplications from the Sunnah
ىنَغِلْاوَ ، فَ افَ عَ لْاوَ ، ىقَ تُلاوَ ، ىدَ هُ لْا كَ لُاَسْ اَ ينِاِ مَّ هُ لَّلا
“O Allāh, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity and
contentment.” (Muslim)
ينِقْزُرْ اوَ ، ينِفِاعَ وَ ، ينِدِهْ اوَ ، ينِمْ حَ رْ اوَ ، يلِ رْ فِغْ ا مَّ هُ لَّلا
“O Allāh, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me,
give me good health, well-being and provide me with
sustenance.” (Muslim)
كَ تِعَ اطَ ىلَعَ انَبَؤلُقُ فْ رِّصَ بِ ؤلُقُ لْا فَ رِّصَ مُ مَّ هُ لَّلا
“O Allāh, the Turner of the hearts, turn our hearts to
Your obedience.” (Muslim)
يَ ايَنْدُ يلِ حْ لِصْ اَوَ ، يرِمْ اَ ةُمَ صْ عِ ؤَ هُ يذِلَّا ينِيْ دِِ يلِ حْ لِصْ اَ مَّ هُ لَّلا
لِ عَ جْ اوَ ،يدِاعَ مَ اهَ يفِ يتِلَّا يتِرَ خِ آ يلِ حْ لِصْ اَوَ ، يشِ اعَ مَ اهَ يْفِ يتِلَّا
لِّ كُ نْ مِ يلِ ةًحَ ارَ تَ ؤْمَ لْا لِ عَ جْ اوَ ، رٍيْخَ لِّ كُ يفِ يلِ ةًدَ ايزِ ةَايَحَ لْا
رٍّشَ

“O Allāh, rectify my religion for me by virtue of which
my affairs are protected, set right for me my world
where my life exists, make good for me my Hereafter
which is my resort to which I have to return. And make
my life prone to perform all types of good and make
death a comfort for me from every evil.” (Muslim)
، مِ رَ هَ لْاوَ نِ بْجُ لْاوَ لِ سَ كَ لْاوَ زِجْ عَ لْا نَ مِ كَ بِ ذُؤعُ اَ يـنِّاِ مَّ هُ لَّلا
ةِنَتْفِ نْ مِ كَ بِ ذُؤعُ اَوَ ، رِبْقَ لْا بِ اذَ عَ نْ مِ كَ بِ ذُؤعُ اَوَ ، لِ خْ بُلْاوَ
لِ اجَ رِّلا ةِبَلَغَ وَ نِ يْ دَّ لا عِ لَضَ وَ تِ امَ مَ لْاوَ ايَحْ مَ لْا
“O Allāh, I seek refuge in You from helplessness [to do
good], laziness and lethargy, cowardice, senility, and
miserliness; and I seek Your Protection against the
torment of the grave, the trials of life and death, from
the burden of indebtedness and the tyranny of men.”
(Muslim)
تَ نْاَ لاَّ اِ بَ ؤنُذُّلا رفِغْ يَ الَوَ ، اًريْثِكَ اًملْظُ يسِ فْ نَ تُ مْ لَظَ ينِّاِ مَّ هُ لَّلا
رُ ؤفُ غَ لْا تَ نْاَ كَ نَّاِ ، ينِمْ حَ رْ اوَ ، كَ دِنْعِ نْ مِ ةًرَ فِغْ مَ يلِ رْ فِغْ افَ ،
مُ يْحِ رَّ لا
“O Allāh, I have greatly wronged myself. There is none
to forgive the sins but You. So grant me pardon and
have mercy on me. You are the Most Forgiving, the
Most Merciful.” (Al-Bukhāri and Muslim)

تَ نْاَ امَ وَ ،يرِمْ اَ يفِ يفِارَ سْ اِو ،يلِهْ جَ وَ يتِئَيطِ خَ يلِ رفِغْ ا مَّ هلَّلا
،يدِمْ عَ وَ يئِطَ خَ وَ ،يلِزْ هَ وَ يدِّجِ يلِ رْ فِغْ ا مَّ هُ لَّلا ،ينِّمِ هِبِ مُ لَعاَ
امَ وَ ،تُ رْ خَّ اَ امَ وَ تُ مْ دَّ قَ امَ يلِ رْ فِغْ ا مَّ هُ لَّلا ،يدِنْعِ كَ لِذ لُّ كُ وَ
تَ نْاَوَ ،مُ دِّقَ مُ لْا تَ نْاَ ،ينِّمِ هِبِ مُ لَعْ اَ تَ نْاَ امَ وَ ،تُ نْلَعْ اَ امَ وَ تُ رْ رَ سْ اَ
رٌ يدِقَ ءٍيْ شَ لِّ كُ ىلَعَ تَ نْاَوَ ،رُ خِّ ؤَمُ لا
“O Allāh, forgive my errors, ignorance and
immoderation in my affairs. You are better aware of
my faults than myself. O Allāh, forgive my faults which
I committed in seriousness or in fun deliberately or
inadvertently. O Allāh, grant me pardon for those sins
which I committed in the past and my later sins, which
I committed in privacy or in public and all those sins
of which You are better aware than me. You Alone can
send whomever You will to Jannah, and You Alone can
send whomever You will to Hell-fire and You are All-
Powerful over everything.” (Al-Bukhāri and Muslim)
لْ مَ عْ اَ مْ لَ امَ رِّشَ نْ مِوَ تُ لْمِ عَ امَ رِّشَ نْ مِ كَ بِ ذُؤعُ اَ ينِّاِ مَّ هُ لَّلا
“O Allāh, I seek refuge in You from the evil of that
which I have done and the evil of that which I have not
done.” (Muslim)

ةِءَ اجَ فُوَ كَ تِيَفِاعَ لِ ؤُّحَ تَوَ ،كَ تِمَ عْ نِ لِ اوَ زَ نْ مِ كَ بِ ذُؤعُ اَ ينِّاِ مَّ هُ لَّلا
كَ طِ خَ سَ عِ يْمِ جَ وَ ،كَ تِمَ قْ نِ
“O Allāh, I seek refuge in You against the declining
of Your Favours, passing of safety, the suddenness of
Your punishment and all that which displeases You.”
(Muslim)
دَ ادَ سَّ لاوَ ، ىدَ هُ لْا كَ لُاَسْ اَ ينِّاِ مَّ هُ لَّلا
“O Allāh, I beg You for guidance and uprightness.”
(Muslim)
كَ يْلَاِوَ ، تُ لْكَّ ؤَ تَ كَ يْلَعَ وَ ، تُ نْمَ آ كَ بِوَ ، تُ مْ لَسْ اَ كَ لَ مَّ هُ لَّلا
تُ مْ دَّ قَ امَ يلِ رْ فِغْ افَ . تُ مْ كَ احَ كَ يْلَاِوَ ، تُ مْ صَ اخَ كَ بِوَ تُ بْنَاَ
تَ نْاَوَ ، مُ دِّقَ مُ لْا تَ نْاَ ، تُ نْلَعْ اَ امَ وَ تُ رْ رَ سْ اَ امَ وَ ، تُ رْ خَّ اَ امَ وَ ،
هِلَّلابِ لاَّ اِ ةَؤَّقُ الَوَ لَ ؤْحَ لاَ وَ تَ نْاَ لاَّ اِ هَ لَاِ الَ ، رُ خِّ ؤَمُ لْا
“O Allāh, to You I submit, in You I affirm my faith, in
You I repose my trust, to You I turn in repentance and
with Your Help I contend my adversaries and from
You I seek judgement. O Allāh, grant me forgiveness
for the faults which I made in the past and those ones
I may commit in the future, those which I committed
secretly or openly. You Alone send whomever You will
to Jannah, and You Alone send whomever You will to
